The Old Hall, the home of Lord Bridgewater, is still open to the public, although its main use today is that of a restaurant, ajoining a nearby hotel. Teams will find Wan & Chung up in a tree on the grounds, with the mat underneath them. The last team to check in here...MAY be eliminated.

DETOUR: Mancunia or Madchester


In Mancunia, teams have to travel to the Old Trafford football stadium, home of perhaps the most famous football (soccer) club in the world, Manchester United. Once at the stadium, teams have to enter the home dressing room and choose one of eleven blank shirts from the Manchester United first team. The team must then rip off the sticker hiding the players number, then research the corresponding player and give a short report about the player. If the information is correct in the report, the team will receive their next clue. The information is not difficult to locate and therefore may be quicker, but teams will have to spend more money in order to get to Old Trafford.

In Madchester, teams must travel by foot to a local record store and purchase a copy of any single released by one of three legendary "Madchester" bands: either the Happy Mondays, James, or the Stone Roses. Teams will then have to listen to the song and sing it themselves; if they finish the song, they will receive their next clue. The trick is that teams will not know which song they have chosen until they start singing - which means they will not be able to tell how long their song is, and how much they must sing.

HIDDEN YIELD: This is the second and final Yield hidden throughout the entire race, and the only Hidden Yield. If a team is yielded, they must turn over an hourglass and stop racing for fifteen minutes. A team can only use the Yield power once in the entire race; the difference between this Yield and a normal one, however, is that teams will not know they have been Yielded until they reach the penalty itself.
