If they believe that, they've probably believed that well before they sat down to watch the show.

I agree 100%...the people watching are always like I hate the gay guy on the show. And people watching are all going to get the impression that every gay person is like that. I almost want to go on the show to prove that not every gay guy going on the Real World is not your stereotypical one dimensional, boring, feminine, female sounding, etc...I think The Real World is doing better with other stereotypes including African American females (Brittini, Brianna, the girl from last season, this season) as being more classy and not ghetto. "People" watching the Real World are not judging everyone, more like ANYONE, by what they see on this show. That's just ridiculous. This isn't the only show on television and hardly the most-watched. That's like watching RuPaul's Drag Race and worrying that everyone will think all gays are drag queens. And why are you so desperate to prove that you are not like the other gays? Sounds to me like you've got a lot to learn about accepting who you are and to let others be themselves. Lemme guess, you have "straight-acting" in your gaywired profile, don't you?

Just because Derek is sort of fem doesn't make him a loser, he seems to have his head on straight and seems to be very into his schooling so give him a break. The way he acts doesn't make him a loser.

It feels like the producers cast party-ers who ALSO have a little substance/personality, the best of both real worlds. And since two friends came into the house, does anyone know if it still says in this opening "X Strangers Picked to Live in a House"? I didn't save it.

You don't get emotional about everything? You sure are acting like a little bitch about the boring gay dude this season. You haven't actually mentioned why you find him annoying, unless it's because he's boring though. It seems the only type you're comfortable with is the str8 acting type. That type has been represented on this show before. But quite frankly, I find this whole str8 acting bullshit is retarded. There's nothing wrong with being fem. In fact if it weren't for the fems you wouldn't enjoy the freedom you do now, because the str8 acting gays certainly weren't leaping out of the closet to combat police abuse on Christopher St. The gay guy on this season is just bland. He's not overly fem and he's not butch. He's in the middle. Nothing wrong with that.
