He found out that if he got married he would be emancipated and not have to wait until he was 18 to get control of it so he went to a judge to get permission to marry L. Carly got wind of it and tried to stop the judge. Parker threw her past back at her and the judge sided with him. He married them and then Jack kicked him out.

Daytime Confidential Earlier today, As The World Turns executive producer Chris Goutman broke the news to his cast and crewthat their sister soap, the 72-year-old Guiding Light has in fact been cancelled, according to sources. "The series will wrap this September," says one source. ATWT has reportedly been picked up by CBS for one more year. "The decision came from above Barbara Bloom's head," says another source. "She was telling the truth when she told Ellen and TeleNext she thought they would be renewed."

My partner started watching this when Passions was canceled, but I just started following a couple of months ago. So far, I like Craig/Carly and Luke/Noah, the most. I'm really glad I picked up this show. The stories are all moving along pretty quickly. It's nice that they didn't drag out the whole Noah/Dad thing into some long drawn out kidnapping.

I agree that it would've been redundant to have Luke or Noah kidnapped again, but I wonder what the point was if they're not going to use Col. Mayer anymore. Why bring him back for like 3 episodes? Then again, how many times can you have him get arrested, escape from jail, fake his death, etc?
