Bonerfacial (Bonifacio) most likely just bought himself a least another month at 3B by going from 1st to home on an error late in the game.

I've heard Acta is too much a friend to his players. They need someone who will actually press them to win...not that he really can anyway.

Acta is one of the dumbest managers I've ever seen in my life. He seems to use his relievers in all of the wrong situations, constantly.
Kip Wells can't keep batters off base, so he brings him in with the bases empty to kick off innings. Joel Hanrahan is king of the wild pitch, so he brings him in for runners-on situations. Julian Tavarez is a heavy groundball pitcher, but he doesn't make any defensive substitutions to improve the infield defense. It just goes on. The guy is a dumbass and a half. They need to can him, pronto. |

Thankfully it was not last night's Mets game I was trying to go to. I ended up finding the right combination of tickets and price on StubHub for
today's anticipated pitching duel, Santana v. Carpenter. I ended up paying $20 each for a group of 4 and $18 each for a pair near each other in the upper
deck, not in left field. I'm sure i could have found something cheaper off a scalper there today but I wanted to make sure we were all reasonably close
together. Six seats together in the upper deck were $49 each on stubhub. Crazy.

John Smoltz goes tonight. This will be his last tune up before facing major league teams.

It really is sad watching the Nats. Even when they get up a run or two, you just don't really worry all that much. And it's sounded like a fucking home
game.
Also, if I have to see that fucking 'YOU...YOU GOT WHAT I NEED' commercial one more fucking time, I'm going to mug a cabdriver. |

Nats only embarrass the Yankees. Smoltz could give up 10 runs in the first inning and the Sox will still win by 5.
