What about banning anyone pretentious enough to look at big summer action movies as anything other than pure escapist drivel? Can we do that? Might eliminate
some of the douchetards who think Transformers needs to have a "message". Just sayin'...
Go to the movies, or don't go...just try to accept that SOME folks go for fun, not erudition. |

well fuck me then...
just got back from the midnight showing it took all the racism, sexual innuendos, and EXPLOSIONS to a whole nother level. Megan Fox kept her clothes on though. |

Roger Ebert's review of this is pretty hilarious: http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090623/REVIEWS/906239997

Saw it last night, and I have to say it was a shitfest. I enjoyed the first Transformers for what it was, but this one wasn't even enjoyable on that level.
I'm never one to complain about the length of movies, but this was entirely too long. The acting and dialogue (as expected) were pretty shitty. Also, there was WAY too much camera spinning. I don't get dizzy easily (especially from movies) but this was starting to make me a bit nauseous. I would assume I was the only one, but there were others in the theater who agreed. The storyline was ridiculous and kept dragging. Aside from a couple of "cool" scenes with stunning visual effects there is absolutely nothing to see here. I will say that the lady playing his mother was pretty funny, but even she was a bit too OTT. On the bright side, Megan Fox looked fuckin' amazing. |

OK question. Should I see it in Imax on Friday or at the Alamo Drafthouse? Imax is obviously better picture, but I can drink beer and eat whilst watching at
Alamo.

you will need the beer.

Saw it at the midnight showing last night and absolutely hated it (which sucks because the original is my favorite guilty pleasure movie of all time) but I
fully intend to see it again sometime tomorrow under the influence of alcoholic beverages to improve my experience.

movie was absolutely retarded but thanks to reading ebert's review was able to go in expecting the worst movie ever crafted and came out suitably
entertained
racist caricatures, a man who is vilified for following the orders of the president & not listening to rando military dudes dwight schrute as a perverted professor, shia labeouf's mother purchasing pot brownies during the 5 minutes she is on a college campus, dog humping that is a complete non-sequitur, a robot humping megan fox's leg, a robot from the early 1900s who talks like he is in ye olde days, honestly i could go on for ages. what a movie |

Yeah, I almost forgot about how random and pointless the humping dogs were. I did laugh a little when the robot did it though.

Pretty much all of the humor failed. They're lucky they had the mom, though they should have toned it down during the pot scene. Way too over the top. Have
any of you ever seen someone smoke pot and then proceed to run around, and then tackle a student?

I saw that in a 1970's PSA against smoking pot....I think.
