Candice is the ONLY designer on TV that I would give carte blanche to design and decorate my home. No one else is better, but Jeff Lewis and Kenneth Brown come
close. Her carpenter Lorne is hot and her painter Andrew is cute. Chico is fug.

I find her SO pretentious. But that is just me I guess.

Oh she just annoys me. I can never sit through a whole eppy of her show.

I saw Genevieve on some talking about sex show on MTV. I think it was Sex in the 90's or something. I think it was before her wholesome tv decorator
career.

The best designers on TV are Canadian: Candice and the two guys from the original DESIGNER GUYS. And so as not to contradict my theory, I'm going to say
that Thom Filicia is Canadian.

Zippity... nah... Genevieve has almost always had a bit of the perv to her. Watch Trading Spaces and she got freaky quite a bit. That was part of the reason I
loved her. On her HGTV show, sadly, they hold her back (have a friend who works on a fairly well known HGTV show, and apparently they are VERY strict about
their shows being "wholesome").

cginspace wrote:I can see being annoyed by Candice, with the corny humor, but I can't see any pretentiousness. I think she's very down-to-Earth. Now, I think the chick on Design Inc is pretentious. IMO, Canadian shows are more likely to use real designers, with real budgets and real timelines. Popular American shows are more like game shows. They're all about being fast/racing against a timeline and the cheap/on a budget way to do something. |

Do you ever watch the Stagers? I love that one. That one neurotic little queen always manages to pull it all together at the last minute. I'd love a job
like that.

Stagers is so queeny, like they stress out over nothing and over too much. It's not that hard but they make it look like it takes 4 entire days.
I like Sarah Richardson and her Design Inc, Sarah's House shows but I also love Dirty Business (only because James is uber hot) |

They've started airing commercials with the cast and it looks like they've got some great characters. I can't wait! The guy with the dark hair and
blue eyes is my early fave, based on his eyes.

I watched his video. I think he is!
Here are some Season 4 preview videos: http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/design_star/player/0,1000237,HGTV_33396_4301_21966-38222,00.html |

LOL at the number of close-ups of his eyes in the video.
