I would have guessed the right answer, though.
That black guy did not do himself proud.

Tough FJA.

Anyone see last night?

Yeah I'm amazed no one got it. All you had to know was basically who was prez at the time. Glad the champ won.

I was embarrassed for the one who answered Taft. But I guess that's still better than writing nothing. I have to give the guy on the end some credit - at
least McKinley was close.

So putting down a wrong answer saves face over writing down nothing? I don't think so. If you don't know it, you don't know it.
To me putting down an answer you know is wrong makes you sound as dumb as the guy who got the daily double who said "Who is Ann Boleyn and The Other Boleyn Girl?" instead of "Who is Ann Boleyn and Catherine Howard?" |

Umm well if all you have to do is name a prez where's the harm in taking a guess? You at least have a chance (provided you don't give an obviously
wrong answer like Clinton or Washington (or David Palmer)). Even if you only have a rough idea of the presidents around that time put one down. You might be
right. I don't know shit about the order of the presidents and I GOT IT RIGHT.

Carboys Desire wrote:In general, I would agree with this. But when the question is essentially "who was the president in 1895?", even a wild guess has a chance of being correct. |

I would usually agree about not writing anything - but really a one in 50 shot (and she should have been able to narrow that down to maybe 1 in 5 if she
ever took an American history class) is better than no shot at all.

My first thought was Redford but then chantged it to Woody. Still wrong.

I went down the line.
Gotta be Robert Redford.... no, no,no Woody Allan. NO it's Shirley Mcleans brother...that Warren Guy. |

Warren Beatty's name never crossed my mind, I was sure it was Woody Allen. Oh well.

couldn't come up with anyone except Stallone for Rocky..
tonight, I'm in grief and grieving..... cute Alex beaten by old Baldy. boooo and who the ^%&&% knew Scott? |

Scott? That was easy.

I said Shackleton. :|
And yeah, the champion irks me a little bit. Maybe it's because of him leaning on the side of the podium trying to be all cool as he's answering the questions. NO ONE can look cool by answering questions on Jeopardy, baldy. |

I have to say I was pretty tickled when Brad kept striking out while searching for Daily Doubles, and Tui finding them all.

^ His name was Bryan, he creeped me out.
It was very hilarious though. Hopefully Tui goes on a streak. <3 |

Bryan was the biggest asshat that's been on the show for awhile. I got the vibe from him that he came on feeling so confident he'd just sweep boards,
and then this sweet young woman was kicking his butt. It was fun to watch.

Oops, Bryan...thanks for the correction. I wasn't a fan of Tui at first, mostly because of her voice, but she turned out to be so endearing.

Oh handedly. She had 20,000+. The champ had around 6,000. They both bet nothing thugh they got it right.
