I think the show is much better then the books. And I like that they are changing things (Lafayette, etc) and are kind of going with what works even if
it's different. I'm starting to like Anna Paquin a lot more this season, she has more depth and caring (book Sookie was an airhead Bimbo IMO). I think
Eric is HOT and people are going to love him as much as Bill by the end of the season. LOL was Eric dying his hair in the first ep when he came down to the
dungeon?

Bill/Sookie were a lot less annoying this episode. Sookie was of course really stupid but I'm kind of glad she did what she did. And then when Bill came to
save them he was like "GTFO BITCH" and I laughed. Okay, I remember in the first season that Bill said something about letting his family see him as a
vampire. What was that? Why can't that girl's family see her as a vampire, and why might Bill have to kill them now? So random.
I don't get the Eric & Pam love and I don't find anything he says all that funny. I don't know, maybe they'll grown on me. And I don't find anything he does/says all that special. "Is there blood in my hair?" is quickly going to become my least favorite line from this show, I can already tell. I wish Lafayette had escaped because I don't think I'll like him as much as a Vampire. If he becomes part of Eric/Pam's crew, then I might. I'd rather he gets turned than die, tho. I still love Jason's storyline and I thought the camp was hysterical. I hope there's more of Jason vs Logan/Luke (what was his name?) and I think they should totally hook up. The sexual tension is there. Just a thought ^_^. Oh and I agree that Jason's definitely going to bang the preacher's wife. Tara's really boring me so far this season. She needs to step it up. Mary Ann & Sam both really bother me, too. |

Great thread title McWolcott. I love Eric and that was hilarious. I also lol'd when he said 'don't mess with me, I'm still hungry' or
whatever the exact quote was.
I have to say though...I LOVE bad ass Bill. He was sexy as hell last night at the 'rents house. There's no way he'll kill them, as that would be so unlike his character. My guess is that he'll threaten the father to change his abusive ways OR ELSE, and then he'll glamour just the wife and kid. Lafayette becoming a vamp should be interesting. I hope he replaces the fat guy in the Eric/Pam/fat guy trio. That would be awesome and the fat guy is a bore anyway. I kinda wish Lafayette had escaped though. I hate that Ginger bitch. Someone that high strung just gets on my damn nerves with the screaming and what not. Bitch hangs out with, has sex with, and probably offers her throat to, vampires, but she has an absolute meltdown over shooting someone in the leg? She is seriously fucking useless. |

Like everyone else, is your big fantasy to be a rock star? Totally. We shot like a million takes of "Jesus Asked Me Out Today" and the other actors had to pretend I was this big sensation and cheer like crazy. OK, so it wasn't exactly real but it was like being a rock star for a day. It's still my big fantasy. You had to sing the song at your audition? They gave me the lyrics but not the music they were going to use so I had to make up a tune to go with it, which I guess should have been a little scary but I had to run to the audition and then quickly get my butt over to shoot Days. I just made up a little ditty and did it. I've never written a song before in my life. I didn't have time to get nervous. I didn't have time to even breath much less think about it. If I'd only known how cool True Blood is, I would have freaked out! |

Eric is totally fucking hot. I don't think I realised it until he was just 'normal' in like a #+!%#$ and sweat without all the Fangtasia get-up.
That scene in Wal-mart with the fangbanger sales associate, Bill and him (with the new hair :p) was just too awesome.

I'm thinking of short but potent scenes last night such as Bill and Eric in the department store, and the way the saleswoman is turned on by Bill -- vampires are irresistible. And the bigger, more important scene later on, when Maryann casts a spell over everyone in the restaurant and they all start wiggling sensuously. The subplot I'm most enjoying is Jason's time at the Light of Day leadership conference, where he's charming both leaders, Steve and Sarah (Jason + Sarah = it's just a matter of time, isn't it?). That silver "honesty ring" is going to come into play in a pretty dramatic way, I'm guessing. True Blood is avoiding cheap shots about evangelical Christianity in favor of a more nuanced exploration of the way people want to find and follow leaders, whether they're charismatic spiritual instructors or powerful otherworldly creatures like Bill or Eric. Last season, Lafayette swanned in and out of scenes with a devil-may-care attitude; now, he's in league with the devil... or whatever it is Eric represents in his infinite cruelty. As for voluntary cruelty, you can't beat Jessica trying to get back at her parents for by baring her fangs, can you? So: what do you think? Oh, and what do you make of new-waitress Daphne? |

I love Eric's new look, I hated that other hairdo of his but.....
In the books, the reason Bill has such an old fashioned look is because he can't change his hair etc. from the way he looked when he was turned. I think his comment was something like thank goodness he had shaved before he was turned. If Eric get to change his hair I wish Bill could get rid of those sideburns. |
