it really is amazing how not having ibanez or howard in your lineup just weakens it tremendously. i love stairs and dobbs but they do not belong in the 4th or
5th hole of any lineup
 . and once theyre in it, the bench is just crap, so you have coste pinch hitting in the 8th for hamels instead. and of course if the
ump calls rollins safe there like he was, he scores on victorinos double and we tie it up. seriously everything that could go wrong went wrong this homestand
(well except for the mets who played like shit too )

this season is shaping up remarkably like last season. the phillies were hot then went through a hitting drought in mid june last year and the mets weren't
really able to take advantage. I'll take the same end result.

Meh. Shit happens. We've haven't fired on all cylinders yet this season.
We'll be fine come playoff time. As long as our current B TEAM isn't out there and we aren't beset with all these INJURIES of course. |
