Nikki, other than Booth still being alive, is the only other person left 1/3 of the people would say, "who's that?". Unless Julia is the killer,
which is unlikely. But it would be a giant screw you to the audience. "Ha! It's not even someone on the bingo card!"
The main reason I doubt Nikki, though she certainly has the physical strength to pull of the killings is that she is a character, as is "Dangerous Wreck", on Harper's Globe. Would she really be social networking as herself as as the killer persona? Also, was the discovery of Kelly sequence really a fake? The biggest argument in her favor is that she wasn't gunned down outside the Cannery. However, timing wise, it looks like Wakefield (or his assistant) was headed towards to the Candlewick. And Maggie walked right into his clutches. I too would have laughed if she had been gunned down two seconds after leaving the Cannery. I guess humor wasn't what they were going for. I had noticed and mentioned, "Gee, she goes off by herself a lot and really doesn't seem to be concerned about her personal safety." It could have been just bad writing, but as it turns out, she as just reckless all along. I loved how she was just hanging there all day into the night. In any event, because Wakefield or his assistant wasn't shooting at that point, Nikki was probably just really lucky. There is also the possibility that Wakefield's kid is not the killer. Jimmy as Wakefield's kid makes sense as Wakefield took the trade with the Sheriff. But Henry or someone else could be using the Wakefield legend as a cover for the killings, perhaps not even aware that the real Wakefield is alive. What an awesome show.

What exactly does the producer say in the interview where he gives the 1/3 statistic? Did he say that 1/3 won't even know who the killer is, or that 1/3
won't have guessed who the killer is? Or both? People seem to bring this statistic up, but I don't even remember reading the actual interview.

don't put stock in the 1/3 of the audience shrugging at the reveal. It's probably just misdirection from the writers and creators. Drove me crazy,
just like the "Madison will die off screen" rumors because the creators said it. They're not going to leak any of this stuff.
this show is still pedestrian in the storytelling. The sheriff is not going to die in vein after telling Abby that Jimmy and she belong together, the writers would deem that cruel. No, Jimmy will just be the red herring until the very end. The shocking truth is Henry is Abby's brother. Hell, Madison will probably be cradeling that damn dog on the closing moments of the show while they're all sailing away. Cal holds a battered Chloe (who's survived her death), Shea and Trish cling to one another and the horror they've seen for this wedding, Jimmy kisses Abby's forehead and moves on the sail the boat. Abby looks out forlornly at the island and the mist. Voiceover, "My name is Abby Mills..." |

Nah, probably not. ------------------ Continuity error: In one scene the dead state troopers had one floating on his back and the other floating on her stomach. Before the boats exploded, Shane saw them both floating on their backs.

This is an episode desc. from Wikipedia for Splash
After watching her father's death, Abby confronts Wakefield. Meanwhile everyone becomes emotional when somebody's body is found in a bath tub and somebody turns up missing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Harper%27s_Island_episodes |

Emotional sounds like "sadness". Everyone's already scared.
Well, "splash" does sound like it could take place in a bathtub, though I cannot imagine anyone would take time out of this to take a bath. |

Coachocd wrote:I'm kinda hoping its refering to Madison. Maybe something happens (gets bloody) and somebody needs a bath. If its Madison, Shea leaves the bathroom or sits outside the door and somehow the killer gets in and drowns the little brat. ETA: Although its wikipedia and bath tub will turn out to be pool/ocean. |

wakefield's appearance blows all alibi detective work thus far out the window. or so we're supposed to think. if he is indeed the reddest herring of
all (and we DIDN'T see his face driving the truck) it would be wittier than these writers have thus far shown themselves to be. i guess we can hope.
(but then who the hell killed maggie???)
can't help but feel, though, that whatever would be the biggest let-down will end up being the case. sure hope i'm wrong.

I'm I the only one praying that Shea dies? She is such an annoying, selfish bitch. I don't blame Richard for cheating on her.

I really am hoping that Wakefield ends up having minimal to no input into the murders.

Madison being dead would be an "emotional" death for sure.
I want to see Julia. Let's see her knitting a new sweater or Jimmy or swinging from the rafters of her cottage. Whatever. No more psychic? The psychic always dies in these things. There was a great episode of the X-Files where a psychic was chasing a murderous psychopath who was also psychic. |
