I'd think that Son of Sam was about the 70s as was Helter Skelter

Not sure if Yeti approves but besides the aforementioned Dazed and Confused and Slapshot...
Saturday Night Fever Network Forrest Gump (I know it is across generations but the meat of the story is 70s) And if we are talking TV (besides the obvious '70s Show)- Three's Company, The Wonder Years. Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Rockford Files. And if we are talking 70's music - Frampton Comes Alive seems to be the one historical statement of all that is right and wrong with music - he is one of the original harmonizer/Autotune thingy $*#@!. On an eight-track. That and any "ics" band - Dramatics, Stylistics, Classics IV, etc etc etc |

Dazed and Confused is a period piece. It was made in the 1990s and it depicted the last day of school in the mid-1970s in Texas. That makes it a movie about
the 1970s. Any 'tard that thinks it was a coming of age film did not grow up in the 1970s. That film was an accurate portrayal of those times for teenagers
and the drug/alcohol culture.
On the other hand, Dick was a spoof, a comedy involving Nixon. It was clever, but senseless. It wasn't a period piece in the common usage of the term, but it was a movie about the 70s. Do I have to sort all of those movies listed above to get this place organized? It's like everyone is a pothead ... especially For Pete's Sake (probably some of that Kona gold). |

The entire point of Dazed and Confused is evoking 1970's nostalgia.
It's the perfect period piece. |
