So according to spoilers Evan Rachel Wood is playing the queen. So what are they going to do? I don't think she's actually introduced until, what, book
5? Is it going to be a quick little cameo or are they going to skip books? I can't see them skipping books 3 or 4, (Book Spoilers)

Sophie Anne actually did meet Sookie before the fifth book, it was in one of Charlaine's short stories.
I'm assuming they are going to introduce her this early because isn't she the one that ordered Bill to start on his little vampire directory thing that causes him to go missing in the third book? |

I'm going to assume that the spoiler thread is for book plots through the most recent one and for TV plots for upcoming episodes? Am so confused. TV
speculation based on books 2-6 follow. Someone tell me what should or shouldn't be tagged please!
They could make an issue out of the fact that Sophie Anne , or in a more general way to start showing vampire hierarchy (although they're diverging from the books there already, since |

I would say that this is a spoiler thread for the show where you can post anything about the show. I just spoiler tag the stuff that has happened in the later
books because who knows if anyone read them or if the show is even going to follow them. Although Alan Ball really hints in his episode commentaries that they
are going to have a lot of the events from later books happen

They've announced they're casting for Hadley, as well as bringing on Sophie Anne so maybe they'll be visiting New Orleans and bringing back Amelia
at some point?
I could live without the introduction of the weres. They seemed to muddy up the waters too much and Alcide turned out to be such a complete pussy and letdown. |

The tv show has strayed so far from the books that the only real resemblance is Sookie's character as well as Bill's. That's why I like them so
much, they are so true to the book.
It doesn't appear that Bubba will be making an appearance, much to my chagrin. Wasn't he the one who actually killed Sookie's uncle? I'm not sure what I think of the gal they've cast as Sophie Ann. I picture someone more like Dakota Fanning for that role, although she's probably too big for an HBO show. |

I can't imagine them skipping the weres, Ball hinted about the Panthers so I would imagine the wolves would come into play

Yes, Jason is much more interesting as a werepather than as a religious zealot.

You 2 are breaking heart. I want them all in. The wolves, the tiger, the panthers, the fairies, the witches. Don't leave anyone out

The only one I know FOR sure isn't going to be on the show at all is Bubba.
I would imagine the rest depend on how long the series runs, but i'm hoping for Alcide and Quinn for sure. |

I like all the supes in the book but I was just agreeing that Alcide was a big, ole pussy and added that Quinn was too.

No way, I can't imagine them not introducing the Were's especially knowing how big of a role they played in the third and fourth books - especially
Alcide.
I don't see how Quinn was a pussy. Sookie really put in a very selfish position on her part making him choose between herself or his Sister and sick mother. I thought that was a total big bitch move on her part. |

I didn't think Quinn was a pussy either, to be honest. Well, except for the literal tiger thing.

There was just something about him I didn't like. But it's probably my bias against anyone but Eric

Quinn started off badass but it was a turn-off that he would ditch Sookie anytime for either work or taking care of his mother and sister. I understand his
position, but he wasn't a good match for Sookie in the end. Alcide was more disappointing, he seemed very hot at first, but then he let Debbie treat him
like absolute shit and took her back, no problem. He wasn't loyal to Sookie even in a friend capacity.
I would be okay with the Hotshot panthers making an appearance. It's a narrow frame of focus and their inbreed sleaziness fits in well with the Bon Temps atmosphere the series has going on. Jason is much more tolerable as a panther man, and the book that just came out would actually make a great season for the show, should they do it eventually. |

I like those a lot, especially Sophie Anne. I don't know about that guy for Quinn but I don't know who I'd put in his place.

I don't think Quinn would be some big ass muscle bound guy though. I always picture him more like The Rock. Oh well, that's not for a while yet anyhow.
