Slice it up any way you want Bobby...they're still 2 games behind the Red Sox.
right...and with an 0-8 record against them this year ...that tells you how great we are playing to still be even this close.

I love how Yankee fans use that 0-8 record against the Sox as some kind of good thing.
No worries as Rays will end up beating both of them out for the AL East. |

No kidding. All it really means is that they've beat up on a lot of teams with losing records lately.

They've beaten the Mets, Tampa Bay, and Texas. Hardly teams with losing records.

I think the Star vs Twisty constant back and forth is 100 % better than this shit. Every park has its perks and setbacks for both teams. Home team just knows
them better.
End of discussion. |

neither strains of conversation you mentioned would exist if starrider simply didn't post in this thread (or at the very least didn't act like he knows
what he is talking about)
in other news, the cubs / sox series is going to be painful to watch as both teams are terrible and the cubs are probably the worse of the two |

We all pretty much slant to our fave teams. The regular trash talk is what keeps this alive. If we had a SPORTS FORUM!!!!!! We could really get into it. |

Yankees are 21-20 against teams that are currently .500 or better, and 16-7 against teams that are currently under .500.

um, the Rays have the same numbers at home and have already swept at yankee stadium this year. How embarassing was that. They also had one of the tougher schedules to start out the year, as per fucking usual. They're just now getting a crack at teams like KC and the Nats... they will never win in Cleveland, so they don't count. I won't even mention the myriad of injuries and the fact that they're playing with a Durham squad, or the weedhead ace who suddenly can't hit a backstop. Nope. At least you finally noticed Zorilla - he's been stealth tagging you bitches for a while now. |

I'm TRYING to like Pat... I think he cost too much, though. Gabe Kapler is the one I can't figure yet - hot/cold/hot/cold/hot/cold. Pick one. I miss Edwin Jackson and Jonny Gomes. |

Jonny Gomes is a human windmill. Gabe needs more starts, that boy can hit.

Well, the Yankees just lost to the Nats. So much for them being so great against non-Red Sox teams.

I'm calling this the BoBro Series.
BTW, John Lannan who grew up a Yankee fan on Lawn Guyland, was a stud tonight. The article said he pitched a CG, but he was taken out in the 9th.
