I think Isaak could be good if he would simply *be* a judge (trouble is, they have plenty of those already). Or *be* a mentor (which the show needs desperately). Either one but not both. But instead, Isaak and Kelly only use the mid-progress review to look at the designs then sneak off like gossipy old hens to see who can come up with the funniest snide remark about the designs behind the designers' backs. Blech..

Since they never say a single damn thing that's helpful, the whole mid-progress review is about as useful as tits on a bull. And as comedians, Isaak and Kelly both suck shriveled donkey balls; their "funny" remarks, aren't.

Why does it have to be another female? For that matter, why does there have to be exactly two co-hosts? Why not one? Or three? I like it better when Bravo does get too cookie-cutter with things. ie, there has to be a male and female host. Why? Some of my favorite Bravo "contest" type shows don't follow that formula:
Top Chef they have 3 hosts: Tom, Padma and (occasionally) Gail. All three acts as judges.
For America's Next Top Model, it's just Tyra running the show.

And, really, when you think about the standard formula for a "Project Runway" show, it basically goes: Heidi, Tim, Heidi. You don't see them together that often. At the beginning of the show, it's usually just Heidi (and occasionally, a guest judge) who talks to the contestants about the next challenge. Tim might be there but he'll definitely be in the background. His only job during the "pre-challenge" phase is to simply herd the designers to some specific destination where Heidi will talk to them. It's all Heidi to begin with. After they are told what the challenge is, then Tim becomes a mentor. Sometimes Heidi will follow Tim during that mid-challenge review phase but more often than not, she's no where to be found. At the end, when the time comes for the designs to be judged, Tim again completely disappears and it's all Heidi and the other judges. So you really don't see them together that much during an episode. And that formula works.

The Harper's Bazaar mini-challenge is a fabulous addition to the PR-wannabe formula. Now, if they could only get the hosting right. And add a mentor.
