Yes, he thought people were smart enough to make the "knocked up" connection and realize the joke was about Bristol. Obviously, many people aren't that smart and/or choose the fake outrage. I don't know what the Al Franken reference means. It's obviously a slam because he's one of them evil "libruls," who is also a comedian, but makes no sense to tack him onto your bizarre poetry. In fairness to Governor Palin, when she leaves them home alone, they get pregnant." --Seth Meyers One must assume "they" is referring to both daughters, including the 14-year old...who was probably 13 when he said it. Where was the outrage then???

Neither Sarah nor Willow did anything to justify it in their NY visit, and Bristol wasn't even around. It was just another chance to kick a young woman down for kicks because of who her mother is.

I think he did it because he's a father now and he really did have the two girls mixed up and he wanted to do the right thing. But I don't think this will end things. However, if sarah continues to push it, he may push back and instead of making jokes at her kids expense, he'll direct all of them to her. so, in other words: be careful what you wish for, SP.
