Who's Lafayette? Is he the killer from last season? Is he coming back?

ANYway... onto more important things...
During the final scene I thought there was enough nudity for this to have been on Cinemax. Although they need to calm down with the amount of padding they put into Anna Paquin's bras. When she has clothes on her boobs look HUGE but when she takes her top off it looks like she goes down 2 sizesWhile I'm all for the 'natural look as best' sentiment, isn't this a kind of realistic take on the world of waitressing? Tips4tits and all that? Boost up what you have to add potential for tips? I also struggle with the image of little Anna Paquin (but my image is her all gaspy at the Oscars), but I think I'm getting over it. I think she looked freaking hot in the ep, especially in that backward sidle up the bed. Pffft indeed. MMMMMMMM. Oh and although i have to torrent stuff and get the eps a couple of hours after they've aired, if I make the 'mistake' of coming to OSTS after the episode is aired that's my freaking fault. TarzhayAwesome.

Looks like I missed all the "fun". As far as I'm concerned, McWolcott can do whatever the hell McWolcott wants, because she's awesome and
likes all the good shows. So there. I always stay away from the boards if I haven't seen a show yet, or I take my chances. But for True Blood, I will do
all I can to make sure I watch it when it first airs. Spoil away.

I finally just watched the premiere, and I thought it was pretty good. I missed the last few episodes of the first season, so I was a little lost.
That whole Sookie/Bill? (I don't know his name because I usually don't pay attention to scenes they're in) sex scene was gross and I actually had to turn away. Sookie's such a gapped-tooth borewhore and her vampire bf is gross and he annoys me every time he talks. Less of them, please. I didn't see Eric introduced to the show, but I think I get the storyline. Eric killing that guy so brutally at the end was really strange and kind of gross, but I liked it lol. I'm so glad Lafayette is alive though because I love him -- and Tara, even though I don't get the Tara/rich lady/Sam storyline at all. Omg and Jason being into that new cult thing is totally hot. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I think it's a great direction for his character. |

FYI, I love all you guys and you make this show more fun for me by posting here. <3 (even the one's I inadvertently make mad)

Dayum you all had quite the drama today. Whatever else is going on, that wasn't a spoiler -- it's a revelation of a plot point. The show's been
aired. Spoilers are developments that haven't aired yet.
This show is a little different from the broadcast shows in that a high proportion of folks don't watch it on first airing (cheap bastasges), so I can see the wisdom of keeping major developments out of the title line, but come on -- you'd have to be on entertainment news blackout to avoid finding out what happened to Lafayette, plus it only affected the first two minutes of the show. Anyhow, loved the ep. Great to have it back. One thing caught my eye though -- the preacher's wife appeared to be lip reading along with the hubby's televised arguments. Maybe she's mind controlling him somehow? Another "special" critter on the scene? Major thing I'm pissed awf about: Jessica's slutty schoolgirl outfit appears to be gone for good. That was a major incentive in me resubscribing to HBO. (And btw, DirecTV's got a deal running now where if you order HBO for three months at 14.99, they toss in Cinemax for free. I'm totally happy with that arrangement, although I wouldn't have done it had it not been for True Blood coming back.) Agreeance with the Michelle Forbes love. Kalifornia, Homicide, 24, even the badass lezbo adminral on BSG -- I get all tingly anytime she's on screen. I'm fascinated to find out what's going on with her, even moreso than Lafayette and the assorted vamps. |

buried out back wrote:I was going to say "The best part of the episode was Sookie's tits" but I figured all the women in the thread would have just given me the look and put me in my place. For those wondering. A Maened is a follower of Dionysus/Bacchus. This guy (who is usually protrayed as fat)
(BTW if Ro has this painting somewhere in her house I will <3 her forever) Their name literally translates as "raving ones". Often the maenads were portrayed as inspired by him into a state of ecstatic frenzy, through a combination of dancing and drunken intoxication. In this state, they would lose all self control, begin shouting excitedly, engage in uncontrolled sexual behavior, and ritualistically hunt down and tear animals (and sometimes men and children) to pieces, devouring the raw flesh. During these rites, the maenads would dress in fawn skins and carry a thyrsus, a long stick wrapped in ivy or vine leaves and tipped by a cluster of leaves, weave ivy-wreaths around their heads, and often handle or wear snakes. |

Gotta say, though....I love Lafayette more. He is my favorite character on the show. Thank god he's ALIVE ALIVE ALIVE. |

It's funny that this episode covered about 3 pages from the second Sookie book

I know right? And covered so much that had nothing to do with the book.

I knew her from Homicide. Loved her then, ADORE her now. Perfect casting. Great premiere episode. Bill giving his "charge" rules of the house - the
irony of a vampire giving a vampire a parent/child house lecture was hysterical (not to mention his telling her not to eat his girlfriend heh) Highlight foil
on a vampire - inspiring

Oh THAT'S what the foil was for?
