And Louie, please tell me you still aren't rooting for Michael Eww defo not, that was one of the few times my completely picture oriented opinion was wrong. I thought he was gonna be a rebel rocker chef not a flamey queer chef. I've disliked him every since I heard him speak. I dunno who i'm rooting for now, with my two favorites being the first two out. I guess the health chick is the one I like most...but she will be next no doubt. |

I really feel the show is hinting a "Katie comeback"
I feel the final 5 will be: Jeffrey, Jamika, Michael, Debbie, and Katie with Melissa going out 6th-7th for being in over her head

cginspace, I thought before the season started that Debbie was an obvious choice, for a face/ethnicity not regularly seen on the network. I just don't know how much I like her yet. It varies wildly. |

Yes, the Food Network needs an Asian cook, even though Debbie she was born and raised in the south, she seems to fit the image thay want and she is personable
- but I am still hoping for Jeffrey - I just like him!

As a food porn network junkie, They already have enough bland white guys and with the edition of the
Neeley's, Aaron and Sunny, they've came up to par with representing the black community, what they need is Debbie to round out the diversification. What I would like to see is a show dedicated to cooking techniques. It's those little pearls of wisdom/tricks of the trade that at home cooks can find useful. Ingredients are subject to personal taste. Skills last a lifetime. |

And the people on the Food Network website are so Debbiellous It makes me scared that even if she does make it into the finals, the judges will be forced
to pick someone else because she's so hated. Some of the HUNDREDS of ridiculous comments:
Bob, why don't you just cut to the chase and admit it: Debbie is the pre-ordained winner of this "competition". After the cheating, lying and backstabbing of her team on the first show, and your speech regarding ethics, she gets rewarded for her abhorent behavior by remaining on the show. It's transparent and nobody is buying the "but she didn't mean any harm" attitude. She is to asian food as Sandra Lee is to haute cuisine. (By the way, she's pathetic and laughable). So your "Next FN Star" show is like "Quiz Show", "THE FIX IS IN". Bob, get real. Debbie's actions in misrepresenting (LYING) and only bringing back all the ingredients for her own dish while sacrificing the TEAM are deliberate and undermining (SELFISH). I don't know who you think you are kidding. Are you listening to the prospective viewers? NOBODY will watch a show with Debbie. I live in New Orleans. What does the dish she prepared have to do with Mardi Gras or any part of New Orleans's culture? I think since you already know who the NFNS is, the fix was in. I don't want to watch a rigged competition, so I am tuning out. Thank you for the great previous NFNS seasons. At least they appeared honest. I was very disturbed that food network did not vote off Debbie for her lies and angel food cake issue. I was shocked not only that she wasnt voted off, but not even one of the last final two. I can tell you I would NEVER watch her show. This is not only due to principle and her lies, but something I didn't hear anyone mention yet. Her appearance is not appitizing and I would have a hard time watching her prepare any meal and become hungry. Her appearance just is vry unappitizing, though the major reason I am disappointed in Food Network was due to the fact they didnt vote her off due to her lies and lack of integrity and charecter |

I hated that fucker Brett the first show, and so glad he's gone.
I still think Jamika's winning. (Debbie ain't winning, else they wouldn't have raked her over the coals in the first episode.) And how come it wasn't the collard greens and corn bread recipe that appeared in the magazine (which I really wanted to try)? Instead, she shows up and has to improvise another new one on the spot (using pineapple and salmon). It was almost like another challenge, not a reward. |

Didn't Debbie say something like, "I grew up down south, my mother didn't make kimchi and I don't speak Korean"? If her cooking is
basically Southern US, then we don't really need her. We already have plenty of that on the FN. She would need to actually bring an Asian perspective, as
opposed to just being Asian. I would definitely watch if they introduced a completly different cuisine to the network. As it is, it's too much of the same
old, same old on that channel.
