Doesn't matter what name they fucking call them, they're still overpriced mutts.

Yeah, Gina, my friend's ex-wife spent $500 on a half bulldog/half pug (which might not be true). She's such a stupid bitch that I took the dog because
she couldn't care for it (she was unspayed when I got her), and she wanted me to pay her $500. Hell, no.

I have to say I'm sorry to see people putting down mixed breed pups, I'm hoping its more about the ridiculous prices people will pay for them, I own one purebred that I paid alot of money for, and one mixed breed that I didn't. They both have their good and bad points, but then so do people, eh? I really have to disagree, and so would my vet, that mixed breeds are "unstable" because of the lack of multi-generational breeding. Mixing of breeds to acheive dog with different characteristics/less health problems has been done for centuries and is how the breeds we see today came to be... |

I'm not putting down the mixed breeds, I'm putting down the breeding a dog from one breed to one from another breed and calling it a chiweenie,
peekapoo, etc. Unless those mixes have been bred and undesireable (not true to the desired results) dogs spayued or neutered for quite a few generations, you
don't really know waht you're gonna get. Heck, one of my CBRs is liely a mix, but I'd never think of breeding her.

Yeah, until the crosses are getting consistent results they're not a real breed. Not to say they're not great dogs but you can get great mutts at the
shelter for a hell of a lot cheaper.

Oh I don't for one minute consider mine a "breed", he's a mutt no doubt about it. I'm not real big on anyone breeding animals that they
are not expert on confirmation etc. I used to breed and show horses and I saw some really irresponsible breeding in the horse world...

I had to put Bandit, my 19 yo border collie/corgi, to sleep last week. It was almost more than I could handle. It was peaceful and I was with her right to and
through the very end. While waiting for the vet I was crying and she licked my @%***. I almost walked out, but she had quit eating and drinking. I miss her
more than words can express.
In the continuing circle of life and love, I adopted a black cat today. She is all black except for one quarter sized dot of white on her chest. Her name was "Midnight" but I changed it to "Spork." To those of you who accepted Bandit as your Higher Power, there's no need to search for another. Bandit is and was pure love; her spirit lives and loves on. |

Pseudo Propaganda wrote:As somebody else said, Corgis can be VERY territorial, have a bark that will pierce your skull, and can be stubborn as all fucking hell. They also love to chew. And they get bored, so be prepared to bend to his whims when he wants to play, or he'll start with the barking. But. They're also loyal little bastards, very loving, extremely smart, and provide countless hours of entertainment. Henry is constantly making me laugh out loud. And he's gone though all sorts of behaviors. He'll get into patterns, but only for awhile, and then he'll be doing something else. He's not just barky, he's got a wide vocal range. He actually used to talk to me when he was a pup, in that he'd growl and grumble and then wait for me to growl and grumble back at him. His food...he used to grab a mouthful and come into the living room and toss it on the floor, and then repeat. He doesn't do that anymore. Now, his big thing, is he finishes his food, walks into the bedroom, and belches. Like LOUD. So fucking funny. Very protective of my wife...both of us, actually. HAS to play when he wants to play. Will not take 'No' for an answer. Granted, that's gotta be partially shoddy dog rearing, but he's relentless. And when he wants you to feel bad? Snout on the ground and the saddest fucking eyes. Such a drama queen. Basically, if you don't mind a dog that you have to invest a little more time and attention in than, say, a mutt, then definitely consider it. But it really is like having a damned child most of the time. |

Yeah Kona needed constant attention. When the person that was petting her would get up and walk away she would head over to the nearest person and plop her
head down on their lap. She wasn't all that barky though. Maybe it was the training thing. How about Italian Greyhounds. Anyone have one of them? I hear
they are relatively quiet for being small dogs. True or no?
