months after Bush left office. Palin has been out of the limelight for eight months now, and liberal joke writers still think she's good for a laugh.
I heard that joke about Palin's daughter, and I smiled, but not at the joke. I smiled that the Letterman joke writers continue to throw this crap out there- coarse and cruel remarks they try to pass off as harmless and good-spirited. I am glad someone is calling Letterman out on it.
But any joke you make about the Obamas can be construed to be racist. And there are groups out there just waiting to pounce on anyone who crosses their self-imposed race "line".
Just try making a movie these days without any black people in it. You'll get hit in pre-production and forced to "diverse it up" to satisfy these powerful groups.
The only way it will change is if the media starts to ignore these baseless and self-serving public charges of racism that are ever-present in our society.
