The problem is, I don't know many that I haven't watched. Do you have any recommendations? Preferably ones with unusual or wacky ideas. t.ia

A couple of friends and I are planning to do a movie watching marathon where we watch the best movies about time traveling. This has always been a fascinating
topic to me.

My favorite is a movie called "Novikov is his own Grandpa". Unfortunately, it won't be made until 2013.

BTTF, Donnie Darko, and Frequency are all great, but Somewhere in Time is my fave. |

The original Planet of the Apes is a classic all around, despite the improbability about ape evolution in just a couple thousand years. 12 Monkeys is a modern
classic, plus excellent production value. And the Back To The Future trilogies were damn good with the continuity, especially considering it was an adventure
comedy. And surprisingly Peggie Sue Got Married turned out well. Pleasantvile had a similar premise, but it didn't carry as well -- still a decent film
when things started turning colors. The Terminator films have tons of continuity problems, as well as the Star Trek ones -- they divert people;s critical
thinking with their special effects.
Some of the worst: Kate and Leopold, Lost In Space, Timeline (read the book instead, Final Countdown, and since I hate, hate, hate Andie McDowell, I have to add Groundhog Day to the worst list. |
