Rachel maybe so on the produce but the rest of Aldi's food is crap. I wouldn't bother making a special stop for lettuce, fruit and lemons.

I've never been to Aldis, but isn't it all generic stuff?

Shop Rites are operated by several different companies.
Some companies run a very tight ship and have several really nice stores...some of the smaller companies run one or two fucking shitholes. The ones run by a company called Inserra Supermarkets (All of the stores are in North Jersey) are the nicest. |

I live next door to a Kroger Super Store, so I mostly go there. I like the wide, open feel of their aisles.
HEB has a superior selection, but I don't like the flow of their stores. Why they place things in certain aisles, I'll never understand. It makes no sense, and the aisles aren't as open as Kroger. Food Lion is scary as hell, and I refuse to go there ever again. I had to go there once, because a storm knocked out electricity near me, so I was forced to go. I wanted to kill myself. |

Best: GIANT
Massive fl0ming may commence in 5 .. 4 .. 3 .. but hey, you can't beat the prices on their weekly sale items. For example, $1.99/lb name brand boneless/skinless chicken breasts at least one week a month. I can pay more for the same groceries if I want to, or I can stock up on sale items at GIANT. Worst: Save-A-Lot I think they deliberately misspell known brand names to make you believe they're selling quality items at 40-50% below retail. Usually, you're getting half the quality at half the price. Exceptions are the produce, which although lacking in choice, is cheap (when you can find what you need). But as I discovered recently, it is possible to mess up 93% lean ground beef. At $1.99/lb everyday price, it was worth a try, although I won't be trying twice. |

Aldi does have generic things but along with my lettuce, fruit, and lemons.... heh.... I get milk, bread, eggs, yada yada there too. All fine. They just stock
their shit in boxes on the floors. And it cost's a quarter to use a cart, but you get it back if you return the cart...I love that.
I don't know about their meat and canned stuff. And lots of trash is always shopping there too, but for the most part, they huddle around the frozen food cases and leave the produce alone. I PMd ya Beep. Don't post it!! jk |

What the FUCK?
THIS AGAIN? Are you kidding me? WHO THE FUCK CARES? Why would I want to read five pages of people telling me what supermarkets they like and dislike? Am I to remember that information so I can tease you about it later? Or remember it so I can be cautious and not offend you at some time in the near future when I relate a tale about a bakery display case that really got my dick hard because of all the brownies? Shop wherever the fuck you want. It has NO EFFECT on me whatsoever. My life won't change if you buy something at motherfucking Aldi's. OH! Wait! We can BOND here. I am familiar with Wegman's, too! I recall from previous supermarket threads (all 900 of them) that a lot of you really, really like Wegman's. There was a HUGE camaraderie over it. OF COURSE Publix has great cakes. That butter-cream icing... man, oh, man! Right? Am I right? Only white trash shop at Winn Dixie. This is common knowledge. Do we really need to talk about it more? Tops, Kroger, Piggly Wiggly, Dash's, Harris Teeter... yeah. Whatever the fuck. God. I am pissed off now. Thanks a lot. And by the way, it is BEST/WORST. Not "worse." Christ. |

Why would I want to read five pages of people telling me what supermarkets they like and dislike? It's slightly more interesting than reading what everyone is having for lunch/dinner. At least I opened this thread. |

It's slightly more interesting than reading what everyone is having for lunch/dinner.I'll give you that, for sure. The lunch/dinner thing is beyond inane. I won't even mouse-hover over it. We need more fart threads. Those I read. |

I dislike health food/yoga stores ... and here is why: ~ Weird people who are not very attractive. ~ Strange food. ~ No lamb chops or beef tenderloin. ~ Kids calling adults by their first names. ~ Strange toiletries/"organic" cosmetics ~ Brown scratchy paper towels and TP. |

I love Mill Creek Central Market!
They have live music on Fridays and barbecue! Winston always has fun with the crowds of people. |

Just got back from my beloved Wegmans and they had samples of their Strip Steak Burger Patties. They topped them with cracked pepper and roasted garlic
cheddar cheese and served the burger on a soft Vienna Roll.
It was so yummy! I'm going to make these next time I have burgers. I told the cook not to give any samples to Scruffyguy because he was such a grouch. |
