Normally I would be complaining about another absurdly long Sox/Yankees game...but last night's was really fucking good. Didn't seem nearly as long as
it was.

I always have to shower away the filth after watching a Mets game, but i'm gonna have to go to an Andromeda Strain type of cleansing with the Red Sox in
town this weekend.
****BREAKING NEWS***** The Phillies just went yard again against Mets pitching. This latest one landed in the Mets bullpen at Shea. lololol |

most of the mets in the starting lineup yesterday barely played at binghamton. im not looking it up but pretty much santos and martinez are the only ones who
couldve been there awhile for a nonDL stint

Reyes and Delgottago are their only notable injuries. Putz the pitcher would not have been pitching in either of those extra innings. His daily excuse, like
his team, is full of FAIL.

congrats to the powerhouse Phils for eeking out two extra inning wins against a team with a triple a lineup.
And they needed help from the first base ump (lol @ calling Beltran out on that dp when he was clearly safe. even Howard was in a state of shock), some of the worst baserunning in baseball history (leave it up to the Mets to get 3 hits w/ the bases loaded and score only 3 runs. station to station baseball! Castillo still has his hands up in the air that only one run scored on his bloop hit over second base), and Manuel's idiotic managing yesterday (I like how he takes Church out of the lineup in favor of FMart when Church hit a monster HR in the first game and got on base 5 times in 10 ab's during this series) ultimately though, even if the Mets had won this series, it doesn't matter since the injuries continue to pile up and there is no sense of urgency from the Mets brilliant gm to make a deal. See, Omar is more concerned about turning this franchise into "Los Mets" than he is about winning. Reyes and Delgottago are their only notable injuries. yeah the Mets are only missing their star ss and clean up hitter. I mean if the Mets were at full strength and the Phillies were without Rollins and Howard in their lineup for an extended period of time, it wouldn't make a difference at all. Nope. The lack of depth is Omar's fault but there is only so much a team can overcome. Putz the pitcher would not have been pitching in either of those extra innings. yup I mean why put Putz in when you have the great Kawakami, right? stick to golf man. go jerk off to John Daly and his new clown pants. |

I just can't handle the fact that the Lakers are on the verge of winning their 7th title in my lifetime. How disconcerting. |

Why would he be in a fit of rage about Minaya?
It's not like a certain divisional team in red has a lineup that goes 8 deep on some nights and is dominated with left handed hitters. It's not like Minaya releases/trades away 2 of the 3 lefties in the bullpen, leaving Pedro as the only reliable option. Then his answer was to get a lefty 40 year old Japanese rookie with a .400 BA against lefties. It's not like Minaya focused on shoring up the bench and the AAA farm system to the point the Mets can survive 8 Mets on the DL. After all, the Sillies are dominating MLB despite losing Rollins, Howard, Myers and Moyer. Props to Pat Gillick for thinking ahead before he retired.. Now, why would twizted be in a rage against Minaya? Nope, nope... |
