And I think that her look might work against her in the votes. Girls wont vote for the pretty blond.

The only thing that bugs me about Kayla is she looks like she has had a bad Next top model makeover with that hair. Really a trashy look that needs to be
re-styled. But I look forward to seeing her bad hair for the duration of the show.

No I like Kuporno too. He has more character than some. I agree about baby archuleta. I feel like he is at a grade school recital!
The only guy I can't stand is Tony! I'd be happy with anyone else amking it to top 10 at this point. I'm talking for the guys of course. The only woman I really like is Melissa the naughty ballerina. Of course this will probably change as we go further along, but generally I hate someone at the start and then continue until the end. Brandon does not come close to Danny as a dancer! |

If Jonathan looks like Archuleta. ...Does anyone think Karla looks a bit like Ramiele in certain camera angles? |

I think I remember Melissa and Asuka and Paris more because their names don't sound like somebody else's than because of anything to do with them as dancers or as people. |

Trixiego wrote: Can I ask what you base that on? Based on what they CALL Broadway dancing on this show, I'm not a fan at all. Real Broadway, though, incorporates pretty much any other style (from hip hop to tap to African to jazz to waltz to Bollywood) but it is done in character. Much of it (think Bob Fosse) is some of the most innovative, thrilling dance the world has ever seen. I really don't understand why Tyce seems to hate Broadway so much that he insists on shitting on it with his atrociously cheesy routines... * I would say that Wade's "Rama Lama", perhaps the single best dance this show has ever had, was a Broadway style. Many of the group numbers have been... |

I thought Tyce's Steam Heat was real Broadway, and there was one other I saw but I forget... LOL
Tony or Jonathan? Really, either could go. I agree that he looks twelve; and he tries too hard to be sexy. Looking so young the attempt is creepers. Tony just mugs too much and actually THINKS he is OG or summat. Weird. He is better looking, though PONO is the sexiest, to me. Jason is pretty cute, but seems a little interested in talking about his butch past. Prboably because he is from Fresno, one of the Yes on 8 strongholds. |

Ok, so if a dancer is out of his/her own style, is there a style that is considered the easiest for them to do (or to fake)? For instance, if a hip hop guy
DOESN'T get hip hop, is there a style that he's hoping for above any others? Or are they all about the same?

I wish Broadway would be removed as an option, period. Hate it - good, bad or otherwise.

I really like a lot of Broadway. It can be a lot of fun, very big. It tends to work better with groups than with pairs, IMO.

Broadway doesn't have to be big, although it can be. It's all about being done legitimately in character and in the context of a story. |

Adam Shankman is the best judge by far. Positive and gives great criticism. He's amazing.
Mary is fast becoming the Paula of SYTYCD. All the screaming is starting to make her positive comments start to sound like rambling nonsense. She needs to quieten down and pace herself. Nigel might have some on the point comments about the performances but I still hate him. Here's what I thought of the the performances in order... Great 1. Ade & Melissa - This is the difference that maturity and emotion makes. Even though Mandy's routine was not in the least bit showy, Ade and Melissa brought something special to it and made it amazing. Melissa brought out something great in Ade and it's great considering both of them have not been showcased in the show at all until now. I absolutely agree with Adam's comment that Melissa did not dance this well early in her career. She really is a fantastic ballerina and able to pick things up and emote things with her technique and practice. 2. Evan & Randi - Another not so showy routine. Very simple. Loved it. I can't say anything but great for this one. Evan I felt was slightly stronger but Randi really stood out as a good partner. 3. Phillip & Jeanine - What can I say, this was really nicely choreographed lyrical hip hop and both Phillip and Jeanine held it together completely. I'm amazed at how synchronized and sharp they were and for Jeanine to hold up her end as well as Phillip, who was undeniably great, is a huge accomplishment. She definitely stands out for me after this. 4. Max & Kayla - A very professionally done foxtrot. I liked how well they worked together as a partnership. Max was very generous and always kept at a pace that Kayla could follow. She was definitely slightly weaker than him but kept up really well. I agree completely that both could be much sharper. When I saw their turns and actions, I was thinking exactly that. Good/Mixed 5. Brandon & Janette - I loved how well both of them did together. It was a very nice routine and both supported each other. Very good job from both of them. 6. Jason & Caitlin - Jason was very good. Caitlin was behind him and had to catch up. Jason was clearly better than Caitlin on this and it's disappointing because I think Jason would be amazing at almost everything and I can't help bu feel Caitlin might be the weak link. 7. Kupono & Ashley - The only reason why this is ranked here is because of taste. I could tell it was technically good but I just did not see the point to the "story". It was just two crash test dummy characters. The only reason for them is to show them dancing differently from each other. There was no actual story. Very well choreographed and very odd. But I wasn't that excited by it and might have been a little bored. 8. Tony & Paris - Blame Tony. He sucks. It's that simple. For a hip hop number, for Tony to be outdanced by Paris is a fucking embarassment. Paris did a decent job with the number but I'm certain she was hampered by Tony. I actually disagree with the judges and I liked the number but Tony just pulled it down. He did not deserve to be put in the top 20 at all. Bad 9. Jonathan & Karla - BOOOOOOOORING. Oh my sweet baby jesus. Who thought it was a good idea to pair the dullest dancing I've seen with something as upbeat as Lady Gaga? Just horrible and out of sync. It made no sense and the judges must have been drinking to say anything remotely good about it. Yeah, Jonathan is cute, but I hope to hell the teenies don't vote for this guy because he just can't hack it. 10. Vitolio & Asuka - And here's the biggest waste of a routine ever. I blame OTT drama queen Tyce the most for this horrible boring routine. If Vitolio and Asuka can't give any emotion or character to the rest of their routines, they are going to be screwed. I feel that might be their downfall in this competition. |

Because it is bullshit and absolutely ridiculous to do so, I'm gonna go ahead and call out my prediction on final four (in no particular order).
Evan (Broadway brother), Porno (Porno), Phillip (Phillip), & Kayla(beloved grandchild)/Caitlin (twisted sister) I realize that is five people but IMO Kayle and Caitlin are interchangeable. |

Sorry, sweetie, but final four MUST have two men and two women. You need to cut one of your guys.
