Still, no one could figure out whether Wayne was lying when he said he lost a friend that way. They did say that a scraper had died under similar circumstances, so maybe that's who he was referring to.

But I agree with you all now: this job isn't nearly as dangerous as it's portrayed.

On the most recent ep, I loved how they trotted out the old truck falling through the ice animation in honor of Jack's run across the sea ice. I loved how he dismissed it as being like somethig you'd see in Canada.

Anyhow, you'd think Alex and Hugh would be well known to the the US drivers. Somebody somewhere had to have pointed out a show called Ice Road Truckers to them, if not given them season 1 for Christmas.
