It was OK. The super trendy soundtrack annoyed the crap out of me.

I'll admit - this show looked cheesy, so I DVRd it and waited until there was absolutely NOTHING left on TV to watch this weekend.
Happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this show. I am already looking forward to the next one. I hope it makes it. |

Fun, entertaining show. Definitely on my regular-watch list for the summer.

Loved the show. I thought it was reasonable for him to resist the idea, that is his personality, premise for the show. Where would the contrast counterpoint be in the show if he was just like the previous concierge doctor. I like that he has 3 cool female leads that are strong-(the "stalker" chick doesn't give the brother the time of day after all.) Defo must see. |

Anybody catch the second ep?
Slower than the pilot I thought, but still pretty good. Hank's do-gooder girlfiend is growing really old really fast, but the teen couple are a welcome suprise. I wonder how come the ballerina didn't figure out the eat bread, pass out connection on her own? |

I saw it. Not bad. I think it'll find its groove soon.
Well, it wasn't just bread, it was certain types of carbs in general. |

I don't like it at all. Too dry & boring. The only thing special about it is that house they film in The Hamptons. I so want to live there.

Too many staffers, goons, and minions for the main estate for my tastes.
Plus they're all former Mossad. Would you like sleeping in the same house with bored former Mossad? I wanna live in the teens' beach house, rob the douchebag daddy's liquor cabinets, fly model airplanes (but without crashing them into the surf -- WTF with that?) and ooogle Libby in a bikini. And boink teh do-gooder chick just to relieve her tensions. |

Oh, sorry. I was talking about the teen's beach house.

Excellent -- I always thought of you as a woman of disriminating tastes and am delighted to see that my instincts were correct.
Anyhow, anyone in here spent time in the Hamptons since the mid-90's? The last time I was there, folks would keep beat-down Volvos as their Hamptons rides, using the Jitney (no association with Jit) to get them from NYC to the beaches. Crap beaches, btw. I can't believe they publicized the Long Island "dunes." I grew up amongst the Outer Banks summers. Them beaches got themselves some dunes. |

I've seen the first two episodes. Cute show, it's on my season pass now. I definitely see the resemblance to Burn Notice. Not a bad resemblance at all.

Royal Pains actually did better in the ratings than Burn Notice this week. 5.6 million viewers for Royal Pains, 5.24 million viewers for Burn Notice.
Looks like Royal Pains is a shoo-in for renewal. |

I like the show so far, but it's only approaching its third ep.
We still don't know if it's going to be edgy albeit delirous as with the goings on in BN. Or stupid. If Andrew McCarthy shows up again, that'll be this show's determinant. |

I've decided I simply MUST have my very own hospital diagnostic room inside my mansion. Make that happen, wouldja?

GoodNeighborgirl wrote:So did I! I wonder if they have two different teams of writers, since this epi was written very much like the pilot and the epi last week had a very different tone. Also, last night some questions were cleared up when we got to see the owner and some of his motives of the mansion where the doc is staying....this was not addressed for one moment in epi 2. |
