I thought last year was 1000% better than this year. Josh and Katee were more engaging and they danced in sync and just flat out better IMO.

I also thought that the Broadway number was one of the worst pieces of crap ever thrown out on that stage, in both performance and choreography. Love love loved Max and Kayla's samba. I'm glad Louie's on staff now, I bet he comes up w/ some interesting ballroom numbers over the course of the season. That, and Wade's jazz routine were probably my two favorites. The Mandy Moore routine was well danced, but come on, Richard Marx? Really?

The part of the Bollywood routine that I saw didn't even compare to what Josh and Katee did last year. Not at all.

Well I thought this choreography of the Bollywood style was much better then last season's - but Josh and Katee danced it better.

Max and Kayla were good, but Max is no Pasha. I was mesmerized by Ashley and Kupono's routine, loved the perky/shaky character combo - I don't think they'll be bottom three because at least they're memorable. Mandy Moore had probably gained thirty pounds since season three - too much time with Mia, I suppose?

Jason and Caitlin owned tonight. And I don't care what anyone says, for non-pimped and younger dancers, Karla and Jonathan deserved the praise that they got. I love Tabatha and Napoleon, but I feel their "Mad" number was an attempt to just put "Bleeding Love" or "No Air" back on stage...but Phillip and Jeannine did it well. Asuka and Atilio (or whatever) are in trouble...probably with Atilio going home. And I don't think Tony's cuteness will be enough to keep him and Paris safe, but I could see her going home. However, we know that that the tweeners might tune out during the salsa/ballroom stuff...so Brandon/Janette could be in trouble, as could Kayla and Max. Also, I don't know if Wade's number will translate well. What I did like about tonight was the fact that all the numbers were relatively strong...and it just sucks that the woman are so undecipherable from each other. Like, I can't even remember half their names...and the fact that Nigel was like "You flew under the radar..." No, Nigel, you didn't pimp them...and were hoping they were cannon fodder. ETA - Melissa and Ade GOT NO screen time at all in Hollywood, so it'll be interesting to see if they make it through. Thank GOD the judges loved them, so it might save them if they are in the bottom. Hearing the screams...feels like its twice as loud, and higher in shriekiness. I was also annoyed watching Randi and Evan dance, because I was so freaking distracted by the audience. They were all waving their hands back and forth like it was some sort of torch song. What the hell?! This isn't American Idol, why can't they just sit there and watch the dance? The audiences in Canada and Australia don't do that at all, and they don't shriek during every 2 seconds of the routiine either.

The reasoning proposed was that they wanted everyone to have some stability for the first 2 weeks. So, if Vitolio goes, they'll send Asuka packing too. Similarly, if Paris is gone, Tony goes with her.
