We are a society culturally obsessed with sexuality, in particular male sexuality as it's more rigid. Who's gae, who's not is constantly out there. Boys are socialized to demasculinize boys who appear to be "different", (Poperah did a whole show on kids killing themselves for being called gae), we have shows showing Eunich type characters who appear to be comedic 1 dimenional sterotypes and we put down men by feminizing them in what we say about them. Hell, the movie Bruno is coming out, a whole movie about a gae guy. It's in our culture and it's never going to go away. Outside of this board, most places will post grossly homophobic comments, views from the public. A majority of people are the Elizabeth Hasselbecks of the world. That's why I fell in love with Adam from the moment I saw him. He just didn't give a shit. And people are in a tizzy about it, he makes people squirm and I love it, like Seaqueer said. He'll push the boundaries and I like that.

Love that he was not afraid to be over the top. All the effect and lighting were available to every other contestant but he was the only one that really took advantage. Every performance was a event.

I don't like the drug use. I prefer healthy living, but that's just me. Plus from a selfish point of view, I think he'll be able to make better music with a stronger voice for a longer time, without drugs. I have to think that with all the attention he's getting, he may get a personal trainer. He really looks beautiful when he's a little leaner - he's got great facial structure that gets lost when he has the extra pudge. Carrie totally honed her look with a few less pounds. And lastly, I hate being lectured by celebrities. I definitely say everyone should get involved with their pet causes - but one of the best ways of preaching something you believe in is by living it.

Suzy, you might be reading more drug use into that quote than I am. I think Adam is just typical of your 20 something Club scene kid. Smokes some pot and drinks while out. No indication if he still does ectasy. The fact that he's not into cocaine signals no taste for the hard stuff. You don't need to worry about him for the next 6 months of his life at least. Between the tour and working on his album, Adam won't even have time to eat, drink or sleep.
