EXACTLY - if we're supposed to believe this is human evolution (right, nature wants people to be able to create miniature black holes, and it wants people to be immortal), then broaden the ideas. Maxx, I couldn't have said it any better.

Someone like Empath might be fun - or Roulette. Both wouldn't require much of a budget, just eye scrunching.

Totally off topic, but I just saw the headline "David Carridine found dead hanging in closet." What a terrible epigraph for anyone's life. I prefer "Tigernan Pournelle found drained and content in Sean Cody model pile."

Make someone that's indusructable, not like Claire who heals, but someone who can't be hurt by anything. There was a great story in The Initiative about a character named Boulder. Completely industructable, but he was a likable goof who didn't have what it took to be a superhero so they out him in search & resque. Or someone that can see into the fute, but only like 10 seconds or so. They would be amazing in a fight. There was a villain in the New Warriors named Persuasion that could turn on a person's pleasure center. Someone with some sort of weird power that thinks it's magic and not genetic or someone that actually uses their power to make money like a magician or something.

My biggest gripe with this show is that it literally has infinite potential but it would rather be pigeon holed.

There was a character in Alpha Flight named Diamond Lil who was indestructable - but could feel everything. She got breast cancer, but they couldn't operate because of her power. I'm not sure if she ended up dying.

LOL -- nope. In true comic fashion: "Shortly after, a collection of alien bounty hunters called the Consortium came to Canada looking for a mysterious entity named Kismet. Alongside Alpha Flight and the Avengers, she defended Kismet against the bounty hunters .In a fight with one of the aliens, Lil's skin was cut by their laser. Seeing this as her chance of hope, Lil chased down the alien and ripped the grafted laser out of his body.^[8] The technology department of Department H found a way to modify the laser for surgical purposes and was successfully able to biopsy the lump, which turned out to be an infected cyst filled with clotted blood and not cancer."

The Force will be with Heroes next season.
British actor Ray Park, whose role as Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace made him an icon to fanboys far and wide, is in talks to join the cast for a sizeable arc. Additionally, Deanne Bray (Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, The L Word) is nearing a deal to come on board for multiple episodes.

Who are they playing and how long will they be sticking around for? Keep reading for the scoop...

Little is known about Park's role, except that he would be playing one of the colorful characters at the center of the show's Carnivale-esque storyline. (My guess? He's the character described in the breakdowns as "Knife Thrower.")

Bray, meanwhile, would play a deaf love interest for one of the main Heroes. As I previously reported, the part specifically called for a hearing-impaired actress. (So much for my campaign to get Jericho's Shoshannah Stern the gig!)

In addition to Park and Bray, Heroes' fourth season will welcome Prison Break's Robert Knepper (as a new villain) and Californication's Madeline Zima (as Claire's quirky college roommate).

Thoughts?

Ray Park = A W E S O M E! I hope that part is true. Don't know Deanne Bray is though.

Unfortunately, Fuller's contract he signed with Universal wasn't just to exclusively return to Heroes and write/produce. His contract is to write/produce for any show they own on their networks.

So his contract more than likely doesn't allow him to become a new producer.

None of the new stuff interests me except for T-bag being on the show

Peter and a new love interest-Boring
Claire in college- boring
Matt and Janice- Super boring, I fast forward that shit during the first season and will do it again
HRG/Tracey/Noah forming a new company- Sounds promising
Sylar/Nathan- Might have its funny moments
Hiro/Ando back in Japan- No thanks
Mohinder-Who gives a fuck.. Most useless character in television

Ray Park is amazing, infamous Toad-line notwithstanding. Although, like everyone has said, he'll die a few episodes into his run in order to make way for another Hiro storyline. That or he'll be the sacrificial lamb that the audience is supposed to bemoan after being introduced to us, endeared himself to us, only to meet Nathan just as he realizes he's actually Sylar, giving way to Sylar's first post-m.orph kill.

The more the merrier.

Days after "Californication" co-star Madeline Zima was cast to play Claire Bennet's (Hayden Panettiere) college roommate Gretchen in a multiepisode arc, Claire got herself yet another roommate.

"Days of Our Lives" co-star Rachel Melvin has been tapped to guest star and potentially recur on "Heroes" next season, playing Annie, who also will share sleeping quarters (and maybe more) with Claire.

Melvin, who left "Days of Our Lives" in March after four years, recently earned her second Daytime Emmy nomination for her role as Chelsea Brady on the daytime drama.
