And Taj too why would she join Survivor roll eyes she was in a female group and a husband who plays at nfl. Good for Coach he wasn't recruited I couldn't be happier for him joining Survivor. This is why Survivor should not recruit anymore except for an All-Star season! They got two crazy survivors (Sandy and Coach) and someone who really needs the money (JT) in S18.

Did they think their new version of Sarge would get sick on day 9? I think if Stephen thought that reality people were idiots he wouldn't have signed up. Regardless, I'm a little more sympathetic to the recruits; just because someone approached you doesn't necessarily mean that you've never watched Survivor before. Some of them may have been unaware of casting and are as eager as anyone to jump on board. That said, if we ever had a full season full of recruits I'd be pretty worried.

This is inaccurate though. Debbie's prior application had nothing to do with her being cast on this season. Someone in casting called up someone they knew in Auburn to see if that person knew anyone that fit a type they were looking for and that person suggested Debbie. Then they called her because of that and had no idea she had ever applied for the show before. She applied under a different name due to her previous marriage...

Gary/papa smurf was the ones that was not recruited. the girl that didnt end up going on was recruited. what a let down she was. maybe this is one of the reasons Fiji was such a fail? not sure. but it is sad to here Michelle from fiji was a recruit she was an awesome Castaway. Posts: 607 (05/31/09 4:58 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Michelle applied to Amazing Race with her sister (I think, it may have been a female friend), they just moved her over to Survivor after she didn't make the cut for that, I wouldn't really call that a recruit as many survivors have apparently have that happen to them as well (Gary Hogeboom, Austin Carty, Heidi Strobel, Ian Rosenberger and Parvarti Shallow to name a few off the top of my head). You need something to catch their attention depending on what you are going for. They have seen nearly everything and at this point in the series it seems really out of your league. Don't give up though, the 19 times applying without a call could be something that catches their attention, come say the 23rd time lol.
