Not enough Cat Deeley in this eppy >_< *sniffle*
I'm thinking this can be a really good group, from what we've seen. And that ballroom couple with the girl doing the somersault-split lift? They were awesome.

I think my favorite so far is the guy who did tap/hip-hop, I loved the combination of the two styles.

Even though I liked most of them there sure where a lot of pretty female contemporary dancers.
A little overkill but surely most will get cut. Loved the HipHop/Tap kid. Very creative fusion of dance. Glad Evan came back. His solos are great but I also hope he can do other styles this time. ASUKA ON TOMORROW <3 <3 Just based on last seasons performance I'll be furious if she's snubbed this year. |

Was a big fan of Asuka in her audition last year, but a bit of her top 40 solo I saw looked hilarious. She reminded me of a puppet because her legs were just
flailing everywhere.
In saying that, I really hope she makes top 20 this year! |

I have come to the conclusion that I can not stand contemporary and lyrical. It is all the same like 5 moves.
All they ever do is cover their mouths and do leg stretches, and I don't get why some people are allowed to expose their groins and it's fierce but when others do it the judges bitch? Ew so much. |

Blondzilla5150 wrote: They get to go right to vegas because in order to do those styles you have to be a classically trained dancer which means that you know how to do choreography, and they'd have training in other styles because that's what dancers do -- my five year old is taking three forms of dance right now and that's normal (I'm also betting the 10-20 years of dance training they have is probably on their resumes). Hip hop dancers are often self trained which is why they send them to do choreography and the ballroom dancers often just do ballroom which is why they send them off to make sure they can do choreography. I'd also bet that many of these contemperary dancers are known by the choreographers when they audition. Sonja chorographs at my daughters studio and also works for one of the big compeition companies (I'd bet the other choreographers do the same) which would mean that they know and have taught the trained dancers. |

Wow - it was actually a pretty good audition night last night. Quite a few that were very compelling
As to all the returnees this season - I think they (judges, producers, crew) see a LOT of the same dancers audition year after year. I just think
we're seeing more of them this year, because of the fan response to those who didn't make it to the show last season...and they're
(hopefully) going to make it this season

Nigel can say as often as he wants how much he wants manly men and their manly sons to watch this show and think it's okay for boys to dance. But it's all bullshit. After watching and listening to Nigel for several seasons, I'll bet there are a lot more guys and 'not so menly' gays out there who feel discouraged about dancing than there masculine guys who decide to take up dancing. If you are a man who thinks dancing is for girly boys, you wouldn't be watching this show. And if you are a masuline guy, yet still watch and enjoy this show, you don't need Nigel or anyone to tell you it's okay for boys to dance.

Nigel stopped Janette's dancing. If that doesn't prove he's gay, nothing will.
Anna Dunn was the Hot Tomboy. Totally "Facts of Life" Jo. First Kinney sister had a big juicy ass. 2nd Kinney was built like a body-builder (broad shoulders, no hips). Megan wins. Loved the twins, just for the fantasy factor. Don't know if they're any good at dancing, but on this show, it doesn't matter. And Kid with Football Dad has hopefully been doing training with Dad and bonding even more during this time. Their interests would mesh. And loved Season 1's tapper Sandra. So cute. She put out an album?

When you lose your balance or feel yourself falling, you can always flail your arms around as if you meant for it to happen. 3) The raising of the leg in the air and holding it for a set period of time or until you lose your balance and fall and cover it up with a roll on the ground. 4) The grabbing arms to the face/mouth/air/sides/any body part that the song makes reference to except genitals. Can also mo.rph to swaying/Kate Bush arms in slower or more passionate songs. 5) The kick but not really a kick because you bend your knee really quickly towards the end of it. 6) The OTT look of pain/heartache/love/loss when you're sitting on the ground or facing upwards towards the ceiling. Works well in conjunction with the head/air grabbing. 7) Broken lines - an excuse you can make if you're not flexible enough to straighten your leg fully. ETA: OMG how could I forget: 8) Running really fast and then just stopping and staring off into space. So deep. Wow, that actually isn't much

That was an interesting show last night. I wonder if we will have any siblings on the show. I think hip-replacement girl and her sister Megan would be the most
likely. Hippy was stunning!
The twins might make it for the 'wow, they're twins' factor. The brothers wont both make it. And did I catch Nigel saying that Evan is too short to dance with the tall girls? So how many do we have from top 40 last year? Asuko Evan Nathalie Brandon Salsa ballroom girl (she HAS to make it) and as an aside, I think her partner Romulan?, is the hottest male ballroom dancer so far. So good chance that we could have 5 or more returning dancers make it to top 20. At the very least Brandon and Nathalie are in (barring any injuries). |

and
10) bend arm(s)/leg(s) in awkward shape and have a quick seizure followed by moment of stillness move. |
