The recent popularization and legitimization of torture is a new low.
Also, sixty years of empire-maintenance wars. And if you put all those wars together, all those deaths and all that carnage together, the US has actually been weakened by our efforts, not strengthened. When will we learn?
And why, instead of paying military a living wage, we would rather turn around and spend that money on better-paid, worse-trained mercenaries? I mean, it's such a disgrace.
I guess what I'm saying is: Instead of putting a manget-ribbon on your car or closing gyms, US citizens would be better serving our military if we strived to be less bigoted and strived to be more intelligent this Memorial Day.
