Erinn was given the TINY bit of introductory focus in the first episode for reasons that most of us probably already assumed and decided to exaggerate it into something of a winner, which she clearly wasn't:
1) People who usually make the end game get some kind of introduction (other than the UTR 4th places or irrelevant finalists in the F3). Erinn got 3rd place, final juror, and got a tidbit about who she was and why that makes it so odd for her to be out there and a lot of her story was how she proved her Timbira mates wrong and even herself.
2) Impending conflict with Tyson
3) Her and Debbie didn't work together that well when they dropped the thing they were carrying (didn't work well in their beliefs about trust we learned about throughout the season)
That's how I saw it from the beginning, so the focus was necessary because she made the finale and made a move that gave the Jalapaos the game. The fact is even with her game-changing flop, she still got little focus, which really should have put about the 700th nail in her coffin as a winner.
And I still say that Erinn got undue focus for an attractive 20 something chick. She was a great contender right up until the end. JT's edit was just better, which I admit I didn't see because I was convinced he was an overly positive distraction. I will definitely re-read a few choice posts to avoid making that mistake again. And I'm not shitting on Sierra's edit. Her pre-merge was great for a winner, but the second the merge hit and she got a UTRN1 I was done with her... I just don't think it's fair to talk about "Erinn fantards" (and I know you didn't in this post, I'm just saying) when most other people were picking Stephen and a few picked Sierra after the merge and very very few picked JT.
