That's why it needs to be changed. I knew there was a reason why Seacrest didn't announce the breakdown in votes. I guess Idol didn't want to
embarrass Adam by saying he lost by such a huge margin.

Pretty smart of AT&T, they saw an opportunity and took it. The phone companies ton it all through the season, AI must get some kind of cut otherwise they
would limit the number of votes per phone/household/whatever.
Arkansas is a small state but the Duggar family alone could change the outcome. |

I guess Idol didn't want to embarrass Adam by saying he lost by such a huge margin.They had no problem repeating over and over again last year that the winner won by 12 MILLION VOTES. I think the margin was just regular and they didn't bother to say anything about it. I doubt Adam lost by like 12 million votes like Archie but it obviously wasn't like 1% close so they weren't all "zomg so close." |

Here is another link to a news story on how Arkansas put together their voting campaign and help get Kris the win. AT&T of Arkansas let some Kris fans at various events throughout the state borrow their phones and they taught them how to power text. They totally stole a page out of the Hawaii playbook. |

I'll say it again: this is complete bullshit.
Dialidol proves that there is no way this is possible. Kris won a number of other states with a hefty margin. THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS TRUE. |

OK, Arkansas stuffed the ballot box. Well, that's fine. The rules have always said they are allowed to do that. As long as these are the rules in
place, it's perfectly fair. And as long as Idol holds the sacred rite of bragging about vote totals as being the only thing they care about, this is
something that can happen.
Now, what does this mean for Kris? He's got a very big assignment ahead of him now. Is he going to show the world that he's a low-key master, and that this was a moment when America chose what they really wanted? Or is he going to end up being humiliated like Taylor Hicks? I don't know. |
