BTW, has anyone considered that Stephen and JT might both make a return to Samoa and be assigned competing tribes (like Bobby Jon and Stephenie were in Guatemala)? Well, obviously it won't happen, but I'd love to see it.

Probst getting excited is the kiss of death. He kept saying that Tocantins was 'one of our best' seasons, and it clearly wasn't from Sucks' reaction anyway. It's a good omen if he only 'likes' what's coming up, since he's being as low-key as possible without being negative.

It's not really very important at this stage as the season hasn't even been filmed and they probably haven't finalised their cast yet. They've probably just found a few people who interest Jeff and he's commenting on them.

Well, I do like that idea for its equal encompassment of Gabon and Tocantins (both post-Favorites seasons) however I just think getting two finalists who are supposedly bestest absolutely bestest friends (JT & Stephen) who ruled their season, and seeing not only whether they would last in the game but whether their friendship would prevail, would be a much more interesting and 'ratings-grabbing' "experiment". Then maybe the larger-than-life characters from Gabon, Tocantins and Samoa (incl. Coach, Sierra, Tyson, Brendan, Marcus, Ace, Sugar, Kenny and a few oldies perhaps too) can return for an awesome 20th edition, which I'm going to say again is not UNLIKELY to be set on home turf -- just to get ridiculously angry reception from fellow Suckers.

I'm looking forward to some water challenges. The island Survivor Maps is looking at for both tribes is about one sq km, with the production camp just across the bay on a large island (Upola), and EI on a smaller adjacent island. This is a very small area.

Am I missing something buried in all this spec? For locals, filming is not real distinguishable from the time when SEG shuts down the locations to outsiders. They always film summer season in the same slot ... last week and a half of June to first week of August, have done for some time.

He says he likes the new group, which is more praise than he usually gives before filming starts (when he doesn't like the new group he doesn't say anything at all). If anything it seems like he's over-enthusiastic about the upcoming season.

If he says 'I like them', he's being low-key about it. Obviously he's not going to say anything negative to discourage viewers.
