The reason I support the Stephen/JT Final Two is because of the confessional in the first episode: Stephen's confessional that he thought he he was "a little bit screwed" because he wouldn't connect with the good old fashioned country boy and didn't know if JT would like him. It would also relate back to the First Impressions theme because their first impressions of each other were wrong, in that Stephen thought JT wouldn't like the "anxious New York Jew," and I'm sure that if this is the Final Two, they'll talk about this in some way and say that they never expected it would be the two of them or that they would be friends. It also makes it more surprising that Stephen could win when he thought he was "screwed" and Sandy says she thinks she'll be able to lead him around.

The recent episodes have shown the two of them as controlling the game together - they usually have a scene discussing the vote in every episode - yet no other contestants have ever commented on this OR ever talked about breaking them up EVER. And having the two of them in the Final Two would still be enough of a surprise that the city kid and the country boy who thought they would have nothing in common together controlled the game and made it to the end.

Part of the reason I give Stephen the edge as the winner is because he has an opening confessional, but JT's first confessional (before the first commercial) is also very good and gives great insight into his character and strategy. The other reason is that I have felt that, during some of the middle episodes (probably 5-8) JT was kindof erring more on the side of distraction, even though he did have some strong character development.

JT, for his part, has been getting a lot of focus lately, and I feel that the scenes with Brendan in Episode 8 were meant to establish Brendan as a juror who votes for JT in the end.

In looking back at Episode 2, I also find that the scene about Eddie George has to be significant in some way and it hasn't come into play yet at all. Maybe Eddie will be her family visit and it will have some impact then, but at this point, my theory based on editing and Edgic is that JT goes on an Immunity run, as suggested by Stephen in last week's episode, and that includes winning the Final Three Challenge. This is where JT's confessional about Taj having a lot more money than him comes in. JT votes out Taj, partly for financial reasons, and takes Stephen to the Final Two with him. If not Stephen, then I still think JT will vote out Taj third and take Erinn to the Final Two and beat them. Stephen said he didn't even know who Eddie George is, so I think that part of the story is irrelevant to him and he's unlikely to win the Final Three Immunity anyway, but it has more significance to JT, in my opinion.

DOUBT: The only way that there could be "doubt" and suspense at the end of this is for a Stephen/J.T. Final Two, in my opinion. If it's Stephen/Erinn or J.T./Erinn, then there's a 99% chance that either guy wins in that case, and I think we'll be seeing a Final Three again next season since the ending would be too obvious. Although people can say there's no way Stephen/J.T. would be the Final Two, I think this is the only way we get a suspenseful ending.

So, as of right now, I'm 50-50 for both Stephen and J.T., and I'm not really too interested in picking a solid choice between the two. I will say, though, that I think Stephen probably fits the typical guidelines a little better, which is why I've been putting him first on my chart, but they're really both #1 as far as I'm concerned. Stephen has a better Edgic edit, but logic suggests that J.T. is a more likely winner, because J.T. will probably win both of the last two Immunities. And J.T. is more likely Coach's worthy opponent who wins in the end. So there's a lot of pluses and minuses for both. Just my thoughts and theories. Looking forward to the finale...

Third: Taj (fits with the Eddie George theory I talked about)
J.T./Stephen Final Two (could go either way)

2) If J.T. wins all Immunities, turns on Stephen

Fourth: Stephen
Third: Taj (fits with the Eddie George theory I talked about)
Second: Erinn
First: J.T. (the "worthy opponent")

3) J.T. doesn't win Immunities, Stephen turns on him

Fourth: J.T.
Third: Taj [I suppose J.T./Taj could be interchangeable here]
Second: Erinn
First: Stephen
*** I see this as less likely because it would mean Stephen or Erinn would have to vote out Taj at F3, and I think editing has suggested it will be J.T. based on her not needing the money

...Now watch it be a Taj/Erinn Final Two...
