Irrelevant, since Adam will sell a huge heap of cd's and fill arenas, and Kris will play small, Taylor size venues and sell about 150k max.

to do afterwards is irrelevant...

Reality check here.
We don't have enough genuinely reliable data to guess squat. We have no idea what the real voting spread is. We have no idea of the motivations for the huge increase in votes. We have no idea how Gokey's casual voters feel about anything. We have no idea how Kris is going to sound on a coronation song that you can bet money was written for Adam. We have no idea how big the bus they are sending his way next week really is. We have no idea how much is decided by the votes of people who only pay attention to the performances of the actual night. It is entirely possible that Kris squeaked into the final with a Moment performance so powerful even the judges could not deny it. It is entirely possible that he made Adam eat his dust. We just don't know. AI lies for drama and we can't believe a word they say. There is only one constant in seven years of watching that I am certain of. If TCO makes the final, TCO wins. Every. Single. Time. Period. Ruben, Fantasia, Carrie, Jordin, and Simon's favorite from last year, Cook. Every. Single. Time. That by itself should give Kris fans pause. Clay could not beat Ruben, even on a night when he sang rings around him and ended with a Moment performance on the pimp spot. AI gets the winners it wants. And yet, after the stunt Katy Perry pulled last night, the overpimping is now so out there, so over the top.... I just don't care anymore. What the hell ever, American Idol. I often wondered how I would react if my favorite contestant was TCO. Now I know. The preferential treatment finally drove me nuts. |

Did an informal survey at my office: those Danny fans (yes, there are quite many of them out there) are supporting, if not voting, for Kris as well.
Church + Jesus + God consolidarity, you know. I still have doubts that enough Gokey fans will care to vote for Kris, but those "Adam/Kris Best F2 ever!!!!" Lambtards should worry that there is a chance that their dream can end up backfiring on their glamorous woobie. In Survivor term, Danny, not Kris, was the best F2 goat Adam could have on this show. |

Actually, Taylor lost the contest all by himself by behaving like a jackass. Too many rumors about his post-season behavior - and where there was smoke, there
was fire.
The show will only treat Kris like Taylor when he wins IF Adam outsells Kris by an embarrassing margin. This show doesn't pick favorites, it picks ex-contestants that make them look good. Jennifer Hudson was a persona non grata until she won a couple of awards. If Constantine wins a Tony, watch as the show suddenly remembers him and fawns over him next season. |

say what? since when were Jordin or Cook TCOs...You need a better understanding...TCO means that the producers/judges bend over backwards to ensure that a certain contestant wins. Prime example=Ruben, as your post mentioned. Melinda dominated Jordin in terms of airtime and judges' praise. Archtard was given far more airtime than Cook. When we saw him in the semis, we were all wondering who the chubby dude with the weird haircut was...Even Carly was more of a TCO than Cook. |

TCO thing is making me think Adam wins too. But I've thought Kris was getting the boot for the last 3 weeks so what do I know.
Also I found some Gokey fans at my school. (Which is strange because most people there would choose superficially on who is best looking) They liked him because he was the "only" Christian idol. When I informed them that Kris is one they seemed surprised and promised to vote for him, over the "evil gay Adam  " Yay recruiting!

Simon always bases his "prediction" on the number of votes each contestant is receiving. It is conceivable that he knew by IGB that Jordin's
votes far outnumbered Melinda's and changed his "prediction" accordingly. Given that Simon had said after S6 that Melinda should have win,
Melinda, not Jordin, is arguably his favorite of that season.
Simon doesn't always gets his way. He was rooting for Katharine in S5. Just don't talk to any Catholic priests. It might backfire. Those priests are already voting for Kris Allen, "God's Favorite Altar Boy" for six years straight, so no worries...
