1. Adam #1 -- but not enthusiastically. I'm a huge fan, and there's much to be said for trying to improve on Bono's performance, but it was a little over the top at points, when a simpler vocal style (like the start of his performance) would have served the song better. Gets the #1 vote because it appeared that the lyric actually meant something to him, or at least he sang it that way. Care counts.

2. Kris #1, again not enthusiastically. It's not a good song, I'm afraid -- not tuneful, not insightful. Kris may have varied the arrangement from the original (I don't know or care), but it was a safe and borderline boring variation. If you close your eyes, his style and sound are very much like Jason Castro. Kris is the non-cannibis-infected, more diligent Jason Castro.

3. Adam #2. At least he brought some energy to the performance. There's a talent in being able to scream in tune (Cobain had the same talent, at a lower vocal range). However, I would have preferred something more different from the first song.

4. Danny #2. Could have done better, even on his own terms.

5. Kris #1. Uhh, I like Kris and all, but many of you here are drinking the Kool-Aid on this one. Listen again. Paula was correct, there were glitches. Kris could not hit the high note (at "too late..."), with any power, in the chorus. Couldn't. Note that when he sang "too late" the second time, in each iteration, he took it down a few notes.

Brain, Gut: Kris, as the path of least resistance. I thought Adam was in danger last week and I was dead wrong, so my prediction skills are low.
