1. Kris Allen - Heartless (That was just amazing. Truly amazing. My favorite Kris performance now.)
2. Kris Allen - Apologize (I actually appreciated that he sang it just as it is. A bit risk-averse, but it's better than bombing.) 3. Danny Gokey - Dance Little Sister (Yay Gokey dancing <3) 4. Adam Lambert - One (Good start, until he screeched it out.) 5. Danny Gokey - You Are So Beautiful (OMG SO CURRENT! No, that was just horrendous) 6. Adam Lambert - Cryin' (I thought Danny's second performance was terrible but damn, this one took the cake.) Brain: Not Kris =D Heart: Adam Gut: Danny

1. Kris 2 - I've been critical of Kris all season, but that was imo, his best performance yet.
2. Adam 1 - I don't like how the song was edited down, but for an overall off night, it was okay 3. Kris 1 - I agree with Simon that this was a lame song choice. There just isn't really much room to work with here, and I'm a fan of the original. But contrary to Kara's remark, it isn't a really melodic song. He did the best he could've. 4. Adam 2 - again, no bum notes, but not a very soulful performance either. A surprisingly uninspired song choice from someone who's been very savvy about that all season. 5. Gokey 1 - also lacking in soul, specifically lacking the funky syncopation of the original. 6. Gokey 2 - wtf was he doing adding those lyrics? ("you're every song I sing, all the air I breathe, etc") Lame and stupid, although the first verse wasn't bad. He ran it off the rails when he starting improvising. B: Gokey H: Gokey G: Kris |

1. Kris. On the strength of "Heartless." Throw out his boring "Apologize" as a weak judges choice. The thing is, this version of
"Heartless" could be a hit, although dozens of singers could probably sing this version better than Kris. But Kris wins on a weak night.
I think Kris could squeak by Danny, but I wouldn't bet on it. |
