As was astutely pointed out in the MESS thread, this season is all about Coach (and the viewers) getting what they want - the two strongest players battling it out in the end. How ironic when Coach's JT love is precisely what prompts Stephen to boot JT and take Erinn to F2. He threw away Timbira's game so a worthy warrior opponent could win, only to have that warrior booted by his own allies. |

If Borneo aired now, many of anti-Erinn contingent would be hating on her as an overrated cute girl.
The Erinn haters do more to bring the spirit of Sucks fandom here than anyone else. (Oo's shamrocks thing was mostly a response to certain people's bullying.) Yeah Blake, I saw you give Sierra 10 and Erinn 0 in the LTS poll a few weeks ago. |

CL, I know you were just teasing, that's why I selectively edited out the "oxox", simply due to space restrictions, you understand.
Why is there fighting in this thread and I'm not in the middle of it ? 
Blake's been giving Erinn a "0" every week since early in the season, simply as payback to the Shamrocks. Oh well. Whoever voted for Taj to win should have their voting site privileges taken away ASAP.

FUCK YOU, Oo! ...And the Shamrocks you rode in on! *On another note, this show is over this week, right? I'm surprisingly not feeling it. Don't know why. There seemed like a lot of great potential with most of the characters, that seemed more like a dead end than fireworks. (The Exhile Alliance; Tyson; Sierra; Erinn; the obviousness that JT, Taj and Stephen would overcome -although a let down that the opposition was so easy) I just did not enjoy this one -it was more like it had the ingredients for something fantastic but never really came together. |

I love that Taj makes it on the winner's chart for the first time with one vote at the F6. That lone voter has hopped from Sierra to Erinn to Taj it looks like. I'll love it if Coach makes it to the finale and gets that Edgician's lone vote next week.
I'm surprised at the OTTPP for Taj. The whole concept of OTTPP was defied by her game talk, in my opinion, but eh, whatever. It's not that big of a deal to me. I do find it funny that her episode rating can hardly fit in the space provided, though. :) |

In future, people should vote their top 2 all the way to the end, so we don't end up with weirdness like Brendan jumping into 2nd over JT and lone voters
putting someone into 3rd for a lark.
That would give a better idea of edgic consensus rankings. So RVS, if Stephen wins and JT is booted before F2, will you give edgic props for a successful season? And if Erinn is F2, will you give the Shamrocks props for seeing something in her edit that wasn't there with Sierra, Brendan, etc. Stephen\Erinn F2 would be a HUGE win for "importance of ep.1 opening sequence" theory. |

Of course there are serious fannites playing Edgic, but if you come in here with it on your sleeve and no sense of humor, be prepared to get some teasing.
Terms like 'hater' and 'lover' used to never be printed in this thread. This is one place in Sucks where we're set up to sit back fairly cool-eyed about it all and pick the show's framework apart. Sure have some fun with the show, (I do.), but please, check the seriously emotional fan business at the door. |

I'm with you CL and I've heard those sentiments from others. It started when she characters I thought had potential to be good (Candace, Debbie, Sydney) were so obviously dead in the water ep.1. For much of the season we had a choice between a bunch of gamebots, some boring but nice people, and the unlikeable Coach\Tyson. Lesson - if you want an entertaining postmerge, root for the large dysfunctional tribe or alliance to get control. The small united ones led by masterminds, like Aitu and Jal, will suck the life out of the postmerge game if they get power. Look how great the Amazon and Micronesia postmerge was. It all flowed from a large and loose 7-8 person alliance having control at the merge. |

We had all these kind of fun dysfunctional personalities (Sierra, Erinn, Coach, Tyson) -and instead of scrambles and fun, it's all been very sort of
controlled. The tension is just not there for me. Nor is the fun of seeing the heads reeling of Timberia realizing they've blackballed themselves.
I don't ever really care about the winner, I just want to enjoy the ride. This season seems like homework to me. |

I've enjoyed the season, perhaps a bit more than craig and cl, but it isn't up there with s2 for example as an overall superb season. coach is just...
too. Tyson was trying too hard, and interesting people like Debbie didn't get much airtime (and other interesting people like Jerry got early boots). But
it is still good. Stephen and JT are indeed an odd couple, and somewhat endearing, or at least edited that way. Taj is fine, Erinn's edit was OK albeit
too hidden for my tastes. But what really transformed this season for me was the utter willingness of Tambira to self-destruct.
JT and Stephen came over with what should have been huge targets on their backs: first JT, then Taj/Stephen, then the other of the two, with perhaps a sop to the anti-sierra sentiment, then a donnybrook. But coach basically handed the two of them an "alliance detonator" wired up to few pounds of plastique buried under the Tambirans. And JT/Stephen gladly started picking them off, one by one - and, even more amazingly, the remaining Tambirans just didn't get alarmed. We always think of Ulong as the poster child of a lousy tribe. Well, no. they just couldn't win challenges. Tambira won challenges but had no concept of how to play the game. I'm quite looking forward to the last two episodes, just to see how it plays out. And the reunion should be a lot of fun. |

Erinn has clearly been bitchy, as highlighted by her early days on Timbira. And also the episode Tyson left. And then next episode, probably. You Erinn fans need to stop acting like it's some horrible negative. But really, I think most of you are probably just afraid to admit it because it tarnishes her amazing.winner's.edit. x2

Why is everyone bashing the Shamrocks when she's been on the winner's chart TWICE? Brendan made it on there five times and Tyson four times. It's not like her fans are ruining Edgic by madly voting for her or anything.
