Sorry that there's no thread of consistency in this post, just some random thoughts:

1) I know everyone agrees that the burned man is Cole Harkin but just wanted to say that he was even listed as such in the end credits. I think the actor's name was Dean Wray or something like that.
2) Does anyone have a screen cap of the screaming man behind Abby that people reference a lot here? If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, I am pretty sure it's JD rather than someone we haven't met yet. I'm curious to see a screencap though because I can't tell if she's looking out a window and he's behind her and they both see something startling outside that leads them to scream.
3) I'm bummed they found the Reverend's body. There goes my corpse wedding. But I think the Se7en theory still applies. Until this episode, Mr Wellington didn't want Trish to marry Henry so he died in the spot where he was to give her away. He was chopped in half to reflect the fact that he was two-faced and lying to Trish about what Hunter was doing there.
4) Someone mentioned the actor who plays Sully, Matt Barr. I shouldn't admit to watching One Tree Hill, but he was actually an awesomely convincing psychopath on that show. I don't really suspect him here, but someone suggested he could just be playing a dumb womanizer and I can tell you that the actor has it in him to turn that around on a dime.
5) I agree that the Sheriff's history makes him VERY suspicious. Also, when the deputy called him about finding the hearing aid before they knew anything bad had happened to him, the Sheriff said "Yeah, Reverend Fain WORE a hearing aid." I know we like to rip on this show, but as we see more and more episodes I'm actually pretty impressed with the attention to detail (for example, I never thought they would address something like why JD wasn't in the wedding party, but they did) and I don't think we can overlook things like how that sentence was worded. I think at times we may need to be patient in waiting for them to address details (and editing out the initial scene explaining why they weren't missing Lucy was a big one, but if they needed to cut something from an episode and knew it would be referred to again later, they decided it would be ok), and yes there will be lots of red herrings, but I'm actually becoming convinced that this show and the story it's telling are going to end up being higher quality than it's given credit for. Crazy, right?
