So what was Dean's plan? Did he have Cas in his back pocket before the battle with the demons the whole time or did Anna bring him back? Locking Sam in the dungeon -- I guess that's one way to resolve this issue. Good solid rehab. I hope they have the Raquel Welch poster or whatever still in there. Also I don't what Castiel did to serve man as opposed to heaven. The gambit to keep Sam from giving himself up to Lillith? And what the hell was going on with the upcoming scenes -- "SOON"?! He wasn't suppose to interfere and he did.

But.... actually I do. HAVE YOU BEEN DRINKING DEMON BLOOD OR SUMWHIT? Why would Cas get hauled back into Heaven (Deano: isn't that good?) just for explaining the rules to a mortal? Angels, Archangels, Demons, Breaking of Seals, and now the IMPENDING APOCALYPSE! Big woot. Things fall apart, the centre cannot hold.... Been there done that kthxbye.

When a Prophet says something will happen, it comes from "high up on the celestial chain" according to Cas. Whatever is predicted must come to fruition, it's basically the word of god or something. When Cas told Dean about the archangels protecting prophets at all costs (thus giving Dean the idea to bring the prophet to Sam/Lilith), it allowed Dean to change the prophecy. Thus, Cas got his ass whooped for interfering.

Jimmy's back story worked out nicely for Misha to showcase his chops away from a brooding Castiel. He's really good. Vessel stays. It was strange hearing that other voice though. Who the hell is in charge up there?! All that for giving Dean some pointers. Bloodsucking Sam went to a new low. I'm not sure I like them dragging out his descent through another drug addiction allegory. Hated it with Dark Willow on BTVS, and not liking it here. At least Bobby made an appearance for his detox.

I just didn't see the advice to Dean as being that flagrant of a violation. Then again, it looks like the other angels took their sweet time yanking Anna -- or has she been in hiding lately? Kind of a tedious episode, plus I hate it when they manufacture tension between the boys. Huge smackdown next week though, which makes it worth it.

Take some pointers from Jensen and reign it in a little so it's not your first high school play. Painful to watch him emote. Sam is such a douche. Dean should have shanked NuRuby. DO IT! Ugly biatch cannot survive to come back for season 5. I know she makes Jared look better in comparison, but them two together is revolting. I really don't like this plot wedge between the bros either. Blech. And Hell no with Castiel. I think Anna could have fried the escorts, but wanted to see who's behind the orders and went along. More Bobby. I don't want to get too hyped for the finale and be disappointed. Everything feels too big for the boys to handle. The best things about the series was how they took care of things little by little, state by state, town by town in helping regular folks along the way with their demon/MOW probs. Tackling the end of the world is a bit much for the Winchesters, let alone pitting them against each other in the ultimate battle between good and evil.

This show was the set up for the season ender. They kinda need to do these sorts of things to, oh i don't know, develop the fucking storyline. This is a big one and it is moving brilliantly. NOTHING felt contrived, it felt molten. This is something a long time in coming and they can't just plunk it down and say 'Oh look, the boys aren't getting a long!' THAT would be stupid. I seriously hope Dean hurts Sam in a primal way. And I will cheer cheer cheer when Dean finally gets to kill Ruby. I was so hoping tonight would be the night. They have been building towards this epic battle since season one, show one. If you can't see that, you haven't been paying attention.

You know perfectly well that it'd be hard to find anyone around that loves SN as much as I do. And of course I've been anxiously waiting for the big battle with Lillith ever since the police station Alamo defense ep when little girl Lillith murdered everyone after the fight was done. In fact, I think the anticipation predates that, from the convos Dean had with the cute demon chick in the basement outside that midwestern town that had gone all Cancun. That actually framed this plot moreso than anything tonight. I just thought tonight was slow. I don't mind though given the stakes. But I do think the tension between the boys is contrived. They ought to be all "let's fix this once Lillith's dead." If she wins after all, it's back to Alistair's patronage for the both of them. Basically, I think Bobby was right -- get Sam onto the battlefield. Now. "Don't bother coming back." Feh. Maybe I wouldn't been so bugged about this if we hadn't just sat through a half hour of Sam's preachy hallucinations in Bobby's playpen.

If he goes all out demon blood sucking - he will no longer be human. So either he gets pulled back from the brink before the epic cage match or he goes completely over the edge and loses himself in the process. And with Dean saying his Hail Mary's and going all Warrior of God... I think the 'don't come back' was a hollow threat, since Dean had been laid out, but his test is coming. What if he has to kill Sam for 'heaven' to win? Like I said, this battle has been building since ep. 1, season 1. I am trying not to build my expectations up, but I think the season ender will be epic in more ways than one. The show can't go on forever (damnit) so they are really laying out the roadwork for the end of the series.

I think Lilith's death is the final seal and that Sam has to do it for the resurrection to commence. I think this is why Ruby has always been in Sam's "corner" on drinking blood and building your powers to fight Lilith. Dean's right - I don't trust the bitch. Looking forward to the finale. Sad that my boys aren't getting along - but they'll get back to good soon ;)
