had worked. I think there was some subliminal message embedded in that scream last night that brainwashed everyone with an IQ below 50 to go and vote for him

One last post before I go study so I don't fail out of school...
WHY THE HELL AM I SO EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN THE CONTESTANTS THIS YEAR? I've watched every season of American Idol (or at least parts of every season) and enjoyed most of them. Generally speaking, I haven't really hated or loved any contestants. This season, I was checked out of by the end of the semifinals when I thought some of the most deserving were passed over in favor of the more interesting back stories. Yet, somehow, two months later I actually care about all four contestants in some way or another. Adam/Kris/Allison have proven to be, not only talented, but seemingly genuine people. Since they were voted through in group two they definitely seem like a tight knit group and they really seem to care about each other. It's refreshing and a nice change from some of the competition-bots we've had in the past. The fourth thing in the competition evokes a completely different emotion which I will ignore for now- as he's not worth losing sleep over. Still, I was actually very happy when Kris and Adam were declared safe. Likewise, I was surprisingly sad that Allison saw her journey end. Damn you Season 8, why couldn't everyone just suck so I wouldn't care at all? |

I noticed at the end of Allison's swan song that she, Adam and Kris were lumped together hugging each other, leaving Gokey pretty much the odd man out.
Gokey did go over there eventually but it doess appear that none of them like him very much.

Fuck fuck fuckity fuck.
On the bright side, Allison will be putting out a CD, and will likely outsell Chokey's pitiful offering. Adam has always deserved to win this, and as much as she should have outlasted Chokey, the end result will still be the same as it would have been if she made F3 or F2 (although that would have been the best F2 EVER). Allison is just beginning her career and I look forward to seeing where she goes. The only consolation I have is knowing that Adam will BRUTALLY MASSACRE Chokey in the finals. |
