As people have pointed out, it's obviously been a conscious decision by Adam to alter lyrics in his past performances to make them non-gender specific, so
I don't see why it would be over thinking it or "tard"-like to speculate why he decided to divert from that at this point. That particular lyric
isn't at all essential to the integrity of the song, so he really didn't need to do it. The cynical side of me says he did it to wet the panties of his
clueless straight female demographic to use in their "SEE, he might not be gay, he said WOMAN!!1!" nonsense. It's not a huge deal, but it was a
bit disappointing.

This is what I'm talking about when I say tarding, although the overanalyzing if he changed the words/didn't change the words because of his sexual orientation is bordering on tard territory too. I suspect he's like about 99% of the population and was just singing the song as written. |

Changing the lyrics of a song to suit one's orientation is just artistic license. Personally, I don't have a problem with artists covering songs and
leaving them w/ the original lyrics. Sometimes that even makes the song more interesting. But, he chose in the past to make that statement by making them
non-gender specific and for this one song, he didn't. So yeah, it is worthy of note.

I see what your saying, Ann. I just enjoy watching the show for the fun shit like Douchebag's screech. I do have a preference for who I'd like to win
the show but in the end does it really matter?
 Sorry I get so excited by the fantard-watching, it helps the day pass at work reading their crap.

I don't mind whether he does it or not (changes the lyrics). I think, as someone else said, it might have to do with if the change of the words fits the
melody. On the studio version of "Tracks of My T.ears," it worked. I wonder if he'll change the lyrics on the studio version. But, in all
honesty, I personally don't care.

don't know the man, can't even begin to guess his motives, both professional and personal, and I decided that trying to do so wouldn't get me
anywhere, hence my advice to *myself* to just enjoy the show.

You can tell they're like total
bff's!! Like, they went to the hairdresser together - and they went shopping together!! I love it! What also endeared me (even more) to Adam is the way
he didn't try to hog the spotlight during their duets. He kept it on the same level. He even tried to keep his body on the same level my keeping his
knees bent so he wasn't towering over her during the performance. Contrast that with Danny - who tried to outshout Kris and couldn't even look at him,
although Kris tried.
Also - I love the pic of Adam sticking his tongue out and giving rawk hand to someone in the audience - too cute - next to Ryan who's gotten way too
stuffy in his dress.

Adam's the only Idol contestant - other than Jacob Hoggard - who has been my favourite from auditions on (love Cook, but didn't really start paying
attention to him until "Hello"). While he's clearly not everyone's thing, to me he embodies the same kind of feeling that people had watching
Kelly during the first year of the show, that of genuine discovery.
