Have they ever had a Japanese-American team on the show?

They can get to that later after they've had about 50 Mexican-American teams on the race.

izad wrote: no but Christina from Ron/Chris spoke Japanese. this thread's really not fair, you don't see people bitching about white teams who know Portuguese or Spanish or french when they go to countries that speak em and we've had language tasks before, it's nothing new. |

I'd like to know why no one was up in arms when T/V were speaking in the Chinese tasks two weeks ago.

Because now it looks like they might win.

T/V has an advantage for speaking the language. So what? Are you going to cry foul every episode?
M/L are good at swimming. Ugh, the detour task last week is so unfair! C/J are cheerleaders. They are good at dancing, they have an unfair advantage! For god's sake, it's a detour. If you speak Chinese you'll know that chef was much more lenient with Kisha and Jen. |

Everyone has an advantage on the race. Some are athletes, some know different languages, some have knowledge and wisdom from age, some are well travelled, some
have are better looking (yes that is an advantage). That's what makes the race interesting.

It is not that the Chinese taxi drivers didn't understand the racers - they just had the Olympics where I am sure they spent hours learning different
places in different languages - it is that they didn't want to take them. There are many places they will not go because the chances of getting a fare
back is very hard so they just play dumb. Many times you need to pay double the fare to make it worth it for the driver to bring you. T/V probably knew this
since they were just there for the Olympics.
