Allison's thing is rock but unfortunately since they're down to 4 and TPTB clearly want an Adam/Hokey F2 she'll be in trouble even though it's
rock week. She's not just going to skate into the Top 3, even if she does well.
She needs to do something big and epic and not be overshadowed by Adam. Slezak talked about it on Idolatry but on Allison's best nights she's had the misfortune of being overshadowed by Lambert. She did great with "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" and then he pulled out "Tracks of My *#!!+," then she did "I Can't Make You Love Me" and he did "Mad World." I agree that "One" by U2 or even something else by U2 could be a good choice for her. U2 songs haven't been done on AI with the exception of Cook last year so they aren't over done. She could really have a moment and something like "One" could be really memorable and awesome for Allison. I can see her pulling it off. Also not that shit Mary J duet version, the real version. Bono > Mary J. |

I happened to be looking at Allison's AI page and she lists her favorite female performer as Pink. That would be a good way to do something current, since
I am sure most of the other rock songs are going to be from the 70s or 80s.
Oh and I know I already had requests for Heart and Styx, but is it too late for for another one for Garbage (and I am not talking about what comes out of Danny's mouth)? |

Why oh why do people think Allison should sing Janis? Do you want her to go home? Nobody should sing Janis. No matter how good she may do, it will be "You can't do Janis!!!" from the judges. That would be a horrible idea for her. |

There is a Youtube that I'm too lazy to find of Allison singing "Piece of my Heart". It's a good song, but overdone and I'd rather she did something else and avoid the Janis comparisons. And the worst thing she could do (if it were even allowed) would be to sing a Pink song. They've already compared her to Pink, and I think the negative reviews would follow... "You are just turning into a Pink clone and we want to see/hear Allison" blahblah. |

And isn't it the old standby that Pink's songs are never cleared anyway? Thinking about it, I agree that it would probably be better for her to do
something unexpected to avoid being compared to female rock divas. I like the U2 One suggestion and I still like Dream On for her.
