I hope so. I hate that interesting newer characters are killed off buit you KNOW Jack/Kate/Sawyer will never die. I also think something happenes between now and 2007 to convince eloise that sending daniel to the island has to happen for the greater good. Loved the scene between her and Charles. Nice also seeing the fallout from Ben's attemtp to kille Penny. I ws a little worried about Charlie when he was left with the nurse. I thought Charles would somehow take him away.

I'm so pissed off right now that I'm considering NEVER WATCHING AGAIN. that sucked big time. I hate the writers right now, so much. Daniel was one of my faves. I'd rather any of the following die: kate hurley sawyer juliet miles any dharmite sun jin not that I want anyone to die. Daniel had me at "hello" though. ya know? crap. I don't care about anything right now. I'm so upset. AND it doesn't even seem to make any sense, storyline wise. WHY did he have to go to the island? what did he accomplish? Is next week the finale? I know I'll watch, but it will never be the same after this.

Well, him being on the island and convincing the losties to try and either change destiny with free will...or try and keep things status quo so things that were supposed to happen, happen...will know doubt drive the actions of the rest of the episodes. And will also to be shown that most of what happened in the 4 seasons weve seen before are caused by these future losties tinkering so much in the 80's, 90's, 2000's. In fact, everything we see will be because of their actions based on what Faraday has explained to them. Kinda important, storyline, actually :P

He was able to be a "variable" without being transported physically back/forward in time. Now, hes realized, he thinks...that the future losties variables are now "special" too because they are present forms in the past with knowledge of the future and free will? And if Faraday thinks that, im sure his mother (and others) are worried about that too.

I think he thought that they always were variables that could change things (he mentioned free will). I don't think it has to do with them having tripped through time that makes them special.

There are still a few unanswered questions with Daniel...why did he leave the island? What made him change his mind about changing stuff? I don't think any of the island weirdness is evident in 1977. Must be caused by the incident. That's something I hadn't yet thought of. Have we seen the monster in the past yet?

This might be extremely nit-picky on my part, but their is no way that Daniel could be a biological child of Eloise and Charles. Daniel has brown eyes and both Eloise and Charles have blue so it is genetically impossible for them to have a brown eyed child. So this leads me to think that maybe someone else fathered Daniel, perhaps brown eyed Alpert, or they took Daniel from someone else. It could also be that the lost writers are pulling things out of their asses as they go along. I'm hoping that Daniel is Alpert's son and that he will be saved by the island. It also would not surprise me if Daniel was somehow tied to Jacob.
