This seems very plausible.

Yeah, softspoken doesn't seem to fit anyone. Even if it is a quiet voice, I don't think I would say JT was softspoken. That being said, JT is the only
one they could be talking about.

You're right. I wonder if she just took somebody's headband b/c she liked the look of it. We saw in the extra clips on CBS.com that she likes fashion
out there lol.

Tyson said JT had a sultry voice at the merge, that's soft spoken isn't it? I wouldn't call Stephen loud either.
I keep going back to the "attempts" in the first release, I'm sure usually when they say attempts it doesn't come off. |

chad I agree with you, Debbie may have borrowed one of the white teams' headbands from last week :shrug
TDT - didn't even see the walk - thanks for pointing that out - Stephen decides that he wants to have babies for real now?. Funny that I have the weird brain everyone is talking about the "soft spoken" part of that clue - hell I want to know who the riddlers would consider a "mastermind" in their description. Personally I think Tyson is a perfect description for a softs poken mastermind :shrug. I dunno, Tyson, for all his "antics" is very low key/soft spoken and there is always hype surrounding him by him on his strategic mind and his planning. Ironically, this should be a big blindside since Tyson seems to be the choice of the week, no? Interesting how there hasn't been any real OHMY! in the promos about the Tribal Council itself. With Sierra presumably winning the IC, wouldn't the likes of people like Coach and Tyson have to rethink their strategy? I agree with everyone about the soft spoken part and who they thought but soft spoken mastermind? That just sounds like Tyson and with that title about loving to make people cry - that would be a perfect confessional for him after devising some last minute strategic move to his alliance since they can't axe Sierra. |

Stephen, again... | ||

Stephen is the "soft-spoken mastermind."

It could be as simple as that whoever the mastermind is whispers in a soft voice to hi co-conspirators just before TC or even at TC.

Orangeena wrote:Your love for Stephen aside (I like him also) I agree that he is a good candidate also (JT, while soft spoken, never really came to my mind as someone the riddlers would call a mastermind - only Tyson and Stephen would fit that combined description IMO) If Stephen, then this would tie in with Jeff's comment about the person exiled and game changing moment. So Stephen gets exiled - comes up with the plan to oust Tyson or Coach (because at this point, he doesn't know Sierra will win immunity and she is the poop of the dragon that needs to get flushed) because Stephen realizes that Coach or Tyson are really more in his way at this point and are seemingly calling the shots and he needs the control now despite that Sierra is on the outs and Erinn is not really with Timbira in the loyalty sense but he is still contending with Tyson/Coach/Debbie as a strong three and concerned the numbers of Timbira still may outweigh old Jalapao? |

Yeah, Stephen is the only one who has been presented as a mastermind so far. I guess it's totally obvious to us that he (and JT) are ready to divide and
conquer Timbira, starting with the strongest, but maybe the web clue monkeys think no one else has seen that?
"Soft-spoken" would be anybody who is not Ben. That mute blond lady is the softest, but I still don't think she even has a story. |

Gotta agree that the "soft spoken MASTERMIND" makes me think Stephen right away.

Episode 9 - Solving Riddles | ||

Now if the clue had been a "sweet talking mastermind" we would have known it was JT. LOL
Stephen and JT seem to get pretty equal edits as to their strategy and both could be considered as "masterminds" in my book. Taken literally "soft spoken" would mean a quiet voice however I know people who speak in a normal tone of voice but are simply very persuasive and not in your face kind of people. I consider them to be soft spoken... and that would fit Stephen better than JT. That being said, I think that if Stephen is on exile, he spends his time analyzing all the angles and comes to the conclusion that Coach/Tyson need to be broken up. I think he is our "soft-spoken" mastermind. |

Finale Date | ||

Not sure if this info belongs in this thread but here goes...
Sunday, May 17 SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS--The special two-hour finale (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) begins with four remaining castaways vying for the $1 million prize and title of "Ultimate Survivor." The finale is followed by a one-hour live reunion show hosted by Jeff Probst. |

Thank goodness, Mayan Sun, it's a FINAL FOUR FINALE, and not FINAL FIVE, so we may have at least one episodes peace-of-mind away from His Roachness....
Yeah, this is turning into a REAL traditional Survivor season...And that huge spider is looking like the F4 more and more and they've spoiled it(in the good sense) by showing Taj and JT are still in the game. This I've always seen as a move of total desparation on the part of SEG, because they're giving away the show this year. FOR FREE! Don't worry about SurvivorSucks, etc! We'll spoil it all for you ourselves! We(Jeff, particularly) had NO IDEA that the Roach hatred would be so intense! So we're giving a BIG CLUE that a) Fan faves Taj and TJ are still in the game til the end and b) Sierra wins immunity this episode. No! Honest! She does! We're showing it to you! So the game is gonna turn around on the people, you, the public hates! And you'll be oh so happy when it does! Thankx for the Props, Trix ;) How many years and we finally agree on something? Actually, I always agree with and admire your brainy posts, and superhuman-typing in the Play-By-Play every week FOR YEARS? Where would be without you??? |

Personally, I can't see Tyson being considered the "softspoken mastermind" in the same episode where he makes poor little Sierra cry. I'm
guessing Stephen.

Jt was revealed as a mastermind during the joe medic vac esp. Coach the brilliant one and Tyson were planning to have 7 votes go to Brandon. Stephen was
telling JT this and Jt is the one who said if Brendan uses his idol then I will be out. Then Stephen went back to Coach and Tyson and explained what they
needed to do.

Another possibility I haven't seen brought up ...
The previews are too obvious with Sierra winning immunity (or her going home) but its possible that neither happens. Maybe Sierra is set to go when J.T. tries to pull together a last minute blindside on Tyson, since he doesn't have immunity. The only thing is the clue about the shocking result of the IC ... ??? |

No Trix, it couldn't be----- No headbands walked away from last weeks challenge. At the end of the challenge Jeff said to Coach "I'll take that' and Coach gave him his head band that he was wearing on his arm. And no one else walked away with one. |
