The show has been renewed, but is returning as a multi-cam hybrid (think How I Met Your Mother). Yeah, not kidding.

I don't think that is a big deal, unless multi-camera format means they MUST use a laugh track. I can only assume by using multi-cameras means they have to
do less takes = it costs less to make.
What I think they need to do is drop this whole 'will they or won't they' crap with Todd. Pick one and let it just be there. |

Yeah! This show is coming back?! That's great news. Samantha Who? isn't a show that I've ever posted about, but I do DVR it and enjoy watching it.
Agreed, this whole will they or won't they with Todd is tired. This new format sounds exciting, and it should suit this show well. Thanks for the good

Wow, what a shock. They totally killed this show with that dumb move to Thursday, zero promotion (I literally had no idea when it was on or when it came back),
yanking it without notice (like how my DVR kept taping it for weeks when it wasn't even airing anymore). I really love this show, I think Samantha is such
an endearing character, the show always makes me laugh, Todd is adorable...I'm sad to see this go.

According to Nikki Finke, ABC was demanding $500,000 per episode budget cut. They toyed around with the multi-cam idea for a while, but in the end the budget
cuts they were asking for were just too steep. They couldn't make it work.

Uuuuuuugh!! I feel so bad for Christina.
 First Jesse was axed after 2 seasons and now Samantha Who.
I want her to be a part of a super hit comedy again, she is hilarious and one of the only actual talented comedic actresses left. |

How shitty. I liked this show, but once it changed nights I forgot about it. I watched DWTS but rarely saw any commercials for this show over the past few
months. It was one of the few tolerable sitcoms out there so it really sucks that they ditched it. First Pushing Daisies and now this, I guess if it isn't
a fat balding man with a gorgeous nagging wife, 2.5 kids and a laugh track then it's doomed to fail.

the guys glass and licked it, then asked him to sing at her dog's birthday party.

I saw it. Andrea and Deena were in fine form. As were Sam's parents.
I stumbled across it accidentally, too. Man, I am still so bummed this show was canceled. Total agreeance with KudrowFan that Applegate is one of the most talented comedic actresses out there and deserves a quality show. Though I kinda thought Samantha Who? was it. Great cast. Great writing. Awesome premise with virtually limitless possibilities. And so much depth for Applegate as an actress (I love the contrast of old Sam/new Sam). So yeah, of course. Cancel it you stupid fucks. Fucking fucks. |

Did anyone else catch the last 2 episodes of the season last night? I would have missed it myself if the DVR hadn't been set months ago to record all new
episodes.
They were great. Lots of laugh worthy moments. I loved how it was Funk's ex-wife who ran over Sam causing her amnesia in the first place. And then Sam ran over her too - LOL. Andrea's stand in parents (real ones stuck in traffic) at the wedding looking nothing like her because the network wanted diversity - LOL. Dena's boyfriend not knowing Sam had amnesia and that Andrea's fiance was gay - LOL. I love how Sam and Todd end up together, but now we will forever be left wondering if Sam's parents will reunite. I will miss this show. |
