1. Kris - Great switch-up. Liked it.
2. Anoop - Very good, but boring 3. Matt - Actually liked it. May have pulled it off. 4. Gokey - I like his voice the best, but it was just ok. 5. 7 - Danny - Terribly karaoke but unlike Lil they didn't call him out on it, not surprising. Vocals were average, song choice was horrific, performance was
awkward as Simon said. 2/10
6 - Lil - I feel for Lil, but she wasn't great, unlike last week where she was great and got a terrible rap from about everybody. 4/10 5 - Anoop - Again, excellent vocals but boring as all get out. It sucks the judges pushed him into doing these awful ballads all the time (even if it is a song re-arranged into a ballad). I much prefer the up-tempo and out there Anoop. 4/10 4 - Adam - Aside from what the savage fans (including the judges) and anti-fans have to say, this was a good enough performance, but nothing at all earth-shattering and solidly in the middle of the pack as far as his performances go. He almost didn't do the shriek this week, but he snuck it in there in a slow way. 6/10 3 - Matt - I thought the song choice was great (and not desperate), the arrangement was good and the vocals were great. Solidly entertaining. 7/10 2 - Kris - Great risk and arrangement and I really liked the performance. 8/10 1 - Allison - Fantastic. I for one LOVED the arrangement, unlike her last week's choice; LOVED the opening; just LOVED it period. 9/10 H - I want Danny and Anoop going, with Adam filling out the B3 G - Lil and Allison will go, leaving a wretched all-male F5 and hopefully big protests that Allison was robbed. |

Allison - I'm interested in hearing the studio version of this. This song was borderline rock when Donna did it, but I like that Allison slowed it down
just a bit.
The rest were either just odd or bad. I'm not even sure how to rank them. Anoop - this had potential, but the tempo was odd and I think it was even throwing him off. Not bad, but I expected better. Matt - I thought he was better and more original than he got credit for, but for crying out loud, he needs to bury that falsetto in the back yard. Just painful. Adam - this performance had the feeling of trying to hard to create a Moment, unlike Tracks of My !%+%$ and Mad World, which felt more genuine. Loudness doesn't always equal emotion. It all just rang false for me. Still, the dude's head and shoulders above the rest in terms of professionalism and presentation. Danny - that shit was boring and pedestrian, and I can't for the life of my figure out why the judges are so intent on pushing this guy into the finals. Kris - this guy is as boring and vanilla as they come, and he just took the life out of that song. I hate him a little for it. Lil - Please go home. |

I don't know why so many people think Allison will be in the bottom 3. She was meh last week and safe anyway. This week she kicked ass and will be safe
again and on her way to the top 4 where she belongs, especially given the pitiful competition.
1. Allison - the last woman standing. With Matt still around, she will have a good chance to avoid George Huff's fate next week. . (GAP) . 2-6 interchangably mediocre to bad. Lots of missed falsetto notes and non-disco performances. . . (BIGGER GAP) . . 7. Lil - hideously bad. In much the same way that Megan had a sure thing (as the last white woman left), completely screwed it up, and managed to get herself booted in record early time (first top 8 with no white females) Lil has just assured Idol of it's first-ever season with no blacks in the top 5. Which is fine, because she didn't belong in top 12 anyway. Has there EVER been a top 6 finalist with so few fans in Sucks? Bottom 3: B1: Lil (gone early tomorrow). Kristen, Felicia and co. will be happy. Almost anybody in group 3 could have done a better job. B2: Anoop (gone late tomorrow). Nobody except Syesha and Nikki has ever survived 5 trips to the bottom 3, but he would have it wasn't for.. B3: Matt (Stayin' Alive, unfortunately). The judge's save does what it was supposed to and screws Anoop. They could care less about helping Matt. |

1. Allison - hopefully this is the week when America gets her, awesome
2. Kris - loved the arrangement and his spin on the song 3. Adam - good arrangement but I thought he sang it a bit too slowly and drawn out 4. Matt - ok, kinda karaoke but somewhat fun if not too wannabe Timberlake-y 5. Anoop - meh 6. Lil - way too karaoke-ish, she thinks way too highly of herself 7. Danny - boooorriinng, hopefully this finally does him in B: Lil/Anoop/Danny H: Lil/Danny/Adam G: Lil/Anoop/Matt |

1-3 Some order of Kris/Adam/Allison. If I had to choose it'd be Kris, then Allison, then Adam but they were all so good I don't really care.
4. Matt - I would really like his live performances if he just ditched the falsetto and runs that he massacres the back half of every song with. 5. Anoop 6/7 Danny/Lil... I didn't bother to watch either of these performances. I've just stopped caring. Everything in my body wants Danny/Lil to go, but gut tells me it'll be Lil/Matt. Edit: Alright, caved in and watched Danny/Lil (or watched part of Danny/Lil). Lil = bad karaoke, Danny = marginally better karaoke.

1. Adam. I still kind of hate him, but resistance is futile. He has more talent and skill than the other six combined.
2. Allison. She finally found a song that works with her constipated vocal style. Good for her. 3. Kris. I like that he changed it up so much that it was no longer a disco song. Vocal wasn't much good, though. 4. Anoop. An excruciatingly boring arrangement, but unlike the last few weeks, his vocals weren't enough to save the song. 5. Matt. I think at one point this kid had potential, but he just seems completely lost at this point. It might have been merciful to let him go home last week. 6. Danny. I'm not a knee-jerk Danny hater, but that was straight-up butchery of a great song. 7. Lil. 1. Allison, as always I just get such pleasure seeing/hearing her perform each week
2. Adam, ditto as above 3. Anoop, but I thought it wasn't his best. He fucked up a line of the song too. 4. Kris, meh. Not his best, really lifeless but still doesn't deserve to leave PLEASE SEND THE OTHER THREE HOME IN A SHOCKING TWIST!!! 
The fact any of them get to continue on is a crime. At least one of them will. I also can't even predict who will go, I never know with this stupid show. |
