Good Riddance!
Also, kudos to Sawyer for PWNING him a couple of episodes back when he tried to go all heroic on him and shit, and Sawyer just kicked him out of the house.

Jack no longer being the protagonist appreciation thread! |

Remember season 1, when Jack used to make all the decisions and had an airtime more than everyone else combined?

Meh. Sawyer hasn't kept a tight handle on things (Kate's fuckery aside), has he?

I'll partially co-sign this. I like Jack alright, I just think far more interesting characters have emerged and he's suited just fine to the
background. At least for now.

The complacent Jack sort of turns me on. ::returns to image of Sawyer sans shirt:: Nope. Nevermind. |

I don't hate Jack as much as others, but I"m glad to see the show make use of it's ensemble cast this season. One thing about LOST is that too
many good actors/actresses have gotten the shaft and then get killed off because the writers didn't know what else to do with them. If the writers had
balanced the stories more in the early season and not given all the screen time to Jack/Kate/Locke (and some Sawyer), then maybe they could have found
something to do for Boone and Shannon and Libby, etc.

I personally liked what they did with Boone, Shannon, and Libby. Boone was the little dog in the cartoon following Locke around and Shannon was a spoiled
little princess coasting thru life. Leaving aside the step-incest, dead sounds about right for both of em.
Libby on the other hand I hated to see leave. Mostly cuz I like Hurley and thought he deserved somebody on the show who didn't look at him as either a burden or a target for punchlines. |

Libby's death left us with too many unresolved questions.
Why was she in the same mental institution as Hurley? Why did she really give her boat to Desmond? (Was that a Widmore set up so Des had a boat for the race?) Who was her rich dead husband that named the boat after her? (The Elisabeth) Why is she now Libby and NOT Elizabeth? Why was she on the plane? AND why oh why couldn't we have see an island meeting of Desmond and Libby?? That would have been epic! |

That would have been cool for Desmond and Libby to meet on the island. I know it isn't crucial to the show but it would have awesome.

She was in the same place as Hurley because the writers like to make verybody as connected as possible. 2) It reminded her of her husband and she maybe couldn't handle it by herself anyways. Plus, Desmond was doing it for his tru love. 3) Dunno. 4) Libby is a fairly common truncation of Elizabeth. 5) Dunno. I would have at least liked to have heard about Shannon's short lived marriage before they got lazy and decided they had to kill her off. |
